Interesting news that!!!Not my choice for Yanworth i must say! Buveir and Harry i can see yes!
Report Can't Catch Me March 6, 2017 4:03 PM GMT
Delighted for Walsh. Much under rated jockey who deserves a chance at this level.
Report wondersobright March 6, 2017 4:04 PM GMT
not impressed with the choice for yanworth either
Report wondersobright March 6, 2017 4:05 PM GMT
the fehily bookings I expected, likewise coleman for MR
Report Cash Is King March 6, 2017 4:14 PM GMT
Wayne Hutchinson will be disappointed not to have been given the leg up on the two Alan King trained runners. His loss is Mark Walsh's gain.

Carberry talking bowlarks about Geraghty at the preview evening then. Shocked
Report Can't Catch Me March 6, 2017 4:17 PM GMT
There seems to be plenty of nonsense being spoken at these previews Rease!
Report ReaseHeath March 6, 2017 4:19 PM GMT
I think it's the right approach, little point in having a second jockey if you're not going to support him when the first one is injured.

Incidentally, Sam Twiston-Davies seemed to think he'd be riding Movewiththetimes in the Supreme at one of the preview evenings over the weekend.
Report wondersobright March 6, 2017 4:45 PM GMT
nothing against MW but for a champion hurdle fav/2nd fav I would prefer a jockey with more high profile cheltenham experience

just a personal preference
Report buddeliea March 6, 2017 4:50 PM GMT
My preference was for Richard Johnson, but Walsh should be fine, hes a very experienced jockey.
And he is the 2nd jockey to Mcmanus.
Report Cash Is King March 6, 2017 6:41 PM GMT
Could've been worse. McLernon might've been given the leg up!
Report mincer11 March 6, 2017 6:49 PM GMT
Reaseheath, what kind of rubbish are you going on with and these preview evenings?
These are preview evenings that take place in your own very head. It's not really helpful to just concoct some old storylines just to join in.
You can read the thread without adding nonsense to it.
I have no idea what preview Carberry was on if in fact he was on any, and also where he made any reference to geraghty, but one things certain Sam Twiston Davies never ever said he was riding Movewiththetimes.
Report shockster March 6, 2017 6:54 PM GMT
Why no mention of Defi Du Sueil or Charli Parcs?  Assume running plans not confirmed?

First of all you need to learn to read English properly - I did n't say he said it I said he seemed to think it. Then you can watch the video below and come back and apologize to me:

https://twitter.com/blacktypebet/status/837751171112542208

So it did n't take place in my own head, it took place at the Hungeford Arms last Friday night

Concocting old storylines to join in, eh? That's rich coming from somebody who contributes nothing constructive and can't see beyond the tired old prejudices of his distorted mind.

The Carberry reference is from the Moate preview and can be found on the excellent preview on fatjockeyclub - I've already posted a link to that on the Betfair preview thread so I'm not going to do so again.

I generally post this stuff to try and share information others may have missed - there are plenty of decent posters on here who do the same. The attitude of people like you makes me wonder why I bother.

So certain but so wrong.

For the record, I don't know whether STD will ride Movewiththetimes or not, a week is a long time in horse racing.

Report mincer11 March 6, 2017 9:33 PM GMT
Reaseheath, aplologies for coming on a bit strong but I won't apologise for dissing you for quoting Paul Carberry. In the history of horse racing , there have been hundreds of imbecile jockeys, but none as big a ghoul as Paul Carberry. I couldn't even look at the thick idiot not to mind quote what the fool had to say. This is after all the same moron who set fire to a paper on a plane. One thing I really enjoyed was that his retirement went out with a whimper , nobody gave a Shiite.
As for Twiston Davies, yet another woodner with zero between his ears. You can see when he's interviewed on tv, he hasn't the brain of a rocking horse. When he was saying he was going riding Movewiththetimes, who did he think was going to ride Ballyandy ?

Apology accepted.

It's in the video, mincer - 'Ballyandy's jockey is at the bar!' - Willy Twiston-Davies Shocked

Nicholls said before the Betfair that STD would love to ride Movewiththetimes - he's probably selling it to JP on the basis that STD is prepared to get off Ballyandy because he thinks Movewiththetimes has a better chance. Not the smartest move to tell a member of the racing media and sit there looking a bit sheepish while he blurts it out at a preview evening but youth is wasted on the young.JP obviously will only agree to it if he thinks it makes sense - STD rode Movewiththetimes on his debut in a bumper but that's all.

Still a week to go and Movewiththetimes has 4 entries so I'm just reporting what's been said not that it will definitely happen.

I'd forgotten all the Carberry stuff to be honest - I doubt anybody at the preview evening believed him that Geraghty had an outside chance of being fit even if it was said at the end of the evening.

Preview evenings are just the pantomime before the multiple Oscar winning event - light entertainment not to be taken too seriously.

Apologies to all for derailing the thread.
