There have bene a few rumours that LD will go for this... and presumably they think she's better than AB hence the correction in precise the last few days.

Thanks CCM.

This might explain:
http://www.independent.ie/sport/horse-racing/cheltenham/stablestaff-bonus-holds-key-to-lets-dance-festival-plans-35497835.html Ricci also said something along the lines that she'd win it if she ran in it at he Betbright preview last night. |

Kiss of death then!

yep, probably wearing his dark glasses indoors and looking immensely pleased with himself when he said it...

Can't believe just how quickly the odds have changed in this race. Airlie Beach now put to 9/2 with PP!
Serious confidence behind Let's Dance. |
By:
Both will run surely
By:
Yes definitely. Which makes it even more surprising for me.
By:
Nothing to lay on Airlie Beach on the exchanges. Is AB the next horse out?
By:
Hopefully not but PP going 9/2 may tell the tale?
By:
Bad news for AB backers i'm afraid but according to oddschecker PP are no longer quoting AB for this race.
Interestingly they are quoting for her other entried races - Mares, Supreme and Neptune. Presumably this means she is being re-routed. Anyone have any news/insights into this ? PTL |
By:
It did look fishy didn't it, I mean even if good reports have been coming out about Let's Dance, that doesn't suddenly devalue the form of AB, yet the drift and switch of the two in the market since Friday was severe. Even as a LD backer I wouldn't have had her down as fav for this with AB entered in the race.

Saw this myself, but then logged on to PP to check and he was there so looks like it was an oddschecker error. |

I'll probably back Asthuria nrnb @ 10's for this.
I don't really trust Lets Dance, espcially at such a short price. Last year's 4 year olds having been doing very well this year, and there were numerous times where Lets Dance was travelling powerfully and then didn't get home: took closer order 2 out and improved travelling well to lead narrowly before last, soon ridden and strongly pressed, headed under pressure run-in and soon no impression on winner, kept on same pace improved going well to regain lead between last 2, ridden and headed before last where slight mistake, no impression on winner when switched in 3rd, ran on again close home, just failed for 2nd remained prominent, every chance 2 out, ridden and not quicken before last, stayed on same pace run-in and no chance with leaders I know the second one says ran on again, but I remember that race and she was crusing at one point and still didn't win. Her last two runs this year have been over 2.5m, and this is over 2m, so at the prices, she's one I'll defintiely take on. Asthuria has fell in her last two races, which is obviously a big negative, but she was probably going to beat Shattered Love last time, who is a decent animal in her own right. 2m is more Asthuria's trip and gets the 5lbs off Airlee Beach and Lets Dance. |
By:
Am I the only one who thinks AB still has the best form of the lot?
6.5 length defeat of Saturnas and when she beat Shatters Love she was giving away weight compared to te others who were being given weight. She's in my treble rid year that I'm hoping will have a similar outcome as the Vautour/Thistlecrack/Limini one last year, so while I'd obviously prefer Lets Dance to not race I've no issue opposing her |
By:
rl91 I am 100% with you. I won't be abandoning AB in any way. I agree she has the best form and every time I have seen her she looks very strong. I'm a believer.
By:
I also agree but cant win if doesnt run chaps!

Is there anything concrete to suggest she won't run ?

By:
Not from me but has drifted somewhat, couple guys saying NR on threads.Money for Fav too.
I do not trust the stable at all im afraid!Punters not even remotely on there radar. |

Reports on Twitter from Mullins Stable tour in RP Weekender saying Lets Dance may not run in this, she will run somewhere but Mullins says stepping up in trip has been the making of her and he has Airlie Beach for that race???
By:
Another twist looming here?!
Final updates going on tomorrow's Willie Mullins stable tour - he repeats that mares' novice hurdle favourite Let's Dance may well not run She will run somewhere but Mullins says stepping up in trip has been the making of her and he has Airlie Beach for that race These comments just tweeted by RP weekender. |
By:
Sorry shockster, hadnt seen your comments!! Do you post on fat jockey too mate?!
By:
CCM - No not me on Fat Jockey.

By:
Is Dinaria Des Obeaux going for this? Her last win screamed "I will relish the cheltenham hill" and her long stride could be a potent weapon.
By:
No idea what they are doing with her. I really like the horse though and will back her wherever she turns up.
I'd say Fred Winter is most likely myself. |
By:
Verdana Blue runs for Henderson and he thinks she has a good EW chance.
By:
Mullins nothing but an ignorant pig....contempt for people who directly and indirectly put food on his table is beyond belief....was going to and could copy n paste this on every antepost thread.....utter ****.

Just watched a bit of the Sky Preview and Greatrex almost had a hard on talking about La Bague Au Roi. Despite his confidence for Western Ryder in the Bumper and Cole Harden in the Stayers, he said this was 'easily' his best chance of the week.
By:
Greatrex has a hard on for all his horses. Cole Harden clearly had issues last year yet he still talked him up at every chance. It took a few really bad runs from the horse for him to finally admit something might not be right. I understand why trainers talk up their horses but this guy takes the biscuit.
Knowing my luck this year he'll probably have a treble. My antepost book torn to shreds. ![]() |
By:
Agree with maelduin about Greatrex - it can be a painful listen but, notwithstanding his confidence levels, La Bague Au Roi was very impressive at Aintree and it's one of the early season performances that sticks in my mind.
Visually she beat Dusky Legend as comfortably as Limini did - although that's not the full story given she received 3lbs whereas Limini gave Dusky Legend 5lbs. Mind you, this time last year I though Smart Talk might give the Irish mares something to think about! |
By:
^race was at Newbury not Aintree so clearly did n't stick in my mind that well

By:
An inconsequential race in the Festival yet Mullins decides to have two (at the moment) of his best mares in the race, an utter contempt for punters Mr Mullins is.
If I was betting I'd have VVM over Limini any time of the day unless she is not race fit, but I hope Apple's Jade turns either one over to win. |

So not alone should we abolish the Oaks and 1000gns but also ladies tennis at Wimbledon and of course the Olympic ladies events also.
By:
Impossible was it Annie's fall what did it,I can't understand you're logic,I couldn't care less who trained the horses as long as they won if my LSD was on them
By:
Forget Annie's fall you probably don't know about that 1
By:
Impossible - this is the mares novice hurdle thread.
HTH |
By:
'fivebagken'
Sorry, this is another inconsequential race too. |
By:
Then just ignore the thread, nobody is making you read this topic and nobody is going to make you watch the race either
Now let's all get back on board the Airlie Beach bandwagon |
