My local rugby league side, the Gloucestershire All Golds, are playing local rivals South Wales Scorpions on Wednesday night at the Prince of Wales stadium ( about a 15 minute walk from the racecourse).
They play in the 3rd tier of professional rugby league and the standard is very good. The home side have 5 full Welsh internationals in their squad plus 2 ex Super League players.
I've been to most of the games of late and really love it. Fast paced and plenty of action.
If you've been at the races you can get in for just a fiver if you show your race ticket or membership badge at the gate.
7pm on Wednesday for those who want a few hours off the booze!
