Who s that with JB 23/1 ?
That looks to good to be true, thats nearly 23/1 Don P winning the Gold Cup for me |
By:
Only ever allowed a tenner on these but agree that looked a good one yesterday... missed it.
Today's is 22/1 on Ivanovich Gorbatov in the Triumph and Barters Hill in the AB |
By:
robbo. These are Paddy Power Specials... they do one a day starting from 25 days before the festival at 25-1, then all the way down... so todays is 22-1 with 22 days to go.
By:
Yeah, I think it was up for about an hour before they decided they had taken enough on it!
By:
23/1 and it will win the GC
By:
They never last long!
By:
I assume online only. They have every nearly break even punter restricted so are only taking from losing punters.
Classic from Hills recently backing a horse to win any race at festival. 14-1 online went into a shop was offered 10's. Oh thank you for the 28% price cut for not knowing my name you can shove your 10's. |
By:
If you were in my neck of the woods you could have gone into the Stan James and seen bigphatairyarse lol, they do match best price in the village off of oddschecker so as long as when the click through off that site onto bookmaker site and the price is still there as it isn't always accurate they will have matched it lol. (Korals Hills, lads only to whatever stake you want but be sensible and absolutely no price wise selections lol

That looks poor value. Sportsbook are also doing offers. Today they have 19/1 Bristol De Mai, Un De Sceaux, Thistlecrack.
By:
Any bookie special for Douvan, Yanworth and Thistlecrack? I'm looking for 10/1 at least.
By:
They tend to do them as a countdown, so you might get that offered next week. I doubt you'll get 10s though.
By:
Why do all these bookies offers have 1 loser in them

"Why do all these bookies offers have 1 loser in them?"
Not only that,....the bookies always have the least probable winner of the lot last! |
By:
Why do i get the feeling the bookies don't think Bristol De Mai will win? The poor horse has been passed around more times then a joint at a hippie party.

passed around more times than a hippy at a joint party you mean

These offers are odd - I get that they (generally) enhance the acca a little bit but it's not by much and it seems unlikely that punters will want all three selections. Wouldn't it be better to offer, say a 10-15% enhancement on any treble or upwards of your choice? I'm sure that'd stimulate a lot of business and appease us punters.
By:
10 - 15% enhancement for a £500 treble on Yanworth, Douvan and Thistlecrack? They ain't bookies, they are the turf accountants of the modern world!
By:
I seem to remember these offers being a bit more generous in years gone by. They did a really good price on the Vautour-Faugheen novice hurdle a couple of years back. Can't remember what the price was, but it was more than you could have got doubling up on the Betfair prices.
By:
Probably why they've stopped being generous AC!

By:
Sportsbook "offers" are a waste of time, doubt i'm alone with the max allowed, ie E1.66, false advertising imo.
Anyone with both a SJ and £3.65 acounts has a "no loser" on the Irish trained number special, ie £3.65 8/15 12 or more winners, Sj 6/1 11 or less winners. |
By:
PP from today are free bet for 2nd on all CHELTENHAM races £25 Max.
By:
Think it's worth taking £25 Annie Power @ 2/1 with PP?
By:
Dreadful offer from Paddy power, if that is all they have this year i would be extremely disappointing, William Hill have been money back 2nds on all races on CH for a year or more now, although recently changed to Money back if 2nd to the Fav, this offer really is woefully short of what i was expecting they might do. Why not just money back all runners if Min wins

14-1 Douvan (Arkle), VVM (Mares) & On The Fringe (Foxhunters) PP
