Cry
Report scooby91 February 10, 2016 6:03 PM GMT
Absolutely gutted just seem on rp live feed. One of my biggest bets for the festival.
Report slowerthanjohn February 10, 2016 6:05 PM GMT
I was on 10s any race but that's ante post I'm afraid, slowly but surely my books looking worse and worse.
Report foolsgold123 February 10, 2016 6:05 PM GMT
Ouch that's a pile of 10/1 JLT tickets up in smoke. I have to be strict now and NO MORE BETS TILL NRNB!
Report Orsoncart February 10, 2016 6:07 PM GMT
Really bad news let's hope there's no more.
Report duffy February 10, 2016 6:08 PM GMT
Hope it wasn't related to his mishap at the last the other week!
Report scooby91 February 10, 2016 6:14 PM GMT
Was on at 10s any race too.
Report wellchief February 10, 2016 6:26 PM GMT
Absolute bastard
Report HaylingBilly February 10, 2016 6:27 PM GMT
Reckon it has to be linked to his incident at the last at Leopardstown.  At the time my immediate thought was that looks like a muscle injury incident. Must have jarred something or pulled a muscle. Great shame. No financial interest but really liked the horse.
Report wellchief February 10, 2016 6:30 PM GMT
On in JLT at 14's and wipes out a couple of good multiples.
Report Can't Catch Me February 10, 2016 6:46 PM GMT
Same as me wc. One of the ones I was feeling most smug about... Plenty on at 14's Cry
Report Can't Catch Me February 10, 2016 6:46 PM GMT
Agree about the fast fence incident... Thought at the time he would do well to have not picked up an injury.
Report impossible123 February 10, 2016 7:07 PM GMT
Commiseration all those affected - what a blow! I too had 12/1,....suspensory problem likely related to the last fence error three weeks ago.
Report Desmond Orchard February 10, 2016 7:22 PM GMT
Get it back when it makes its comeback in the Paddy Power off 153 or something daft.
One plus side of missing the spring festivals is that novices tend not to get their marks ruined by running well in a big race.
Obviously the festival will be poorer without him and the above is scant consolation for those involved.
Outlander looking much more likely to run in JLT now. You'd have to fancy him for it.
Report festivalfanatic February 10, 2016 7:59 PM GMT
No financial interest but sad news for those who held tasty AP vouchers. I just want to see the best horses running.

Apart from rank outsiders, virtually all of the AP value has gone. Wait for NRNB on all races, or the enhanced prices that will be offered on race day even if it is only to £50.
Report roobuck February 10, 2016 8:03 PM GMT
Agree ,bad luck to those who had decent AP prices. But we all know that's not going to be the last one, always happens as trainers build up horses to concert pitch.
Report The Dragon February 10, 2016 8:12 PM GMT
Crywhat a bummer but your very lucky if you get all your antepost to run, thats myfirst one gone
Report FOYLESWAR February 10, 2016 8:14 PM GMT
yep ive had 2 bite the dust .
Report SEATHESTARS....NO1 February 10, 2016 8:35 PM GMT
I had 14s so yeah gutted but got to look at the bigger picture that it happens every year hence why a book is the way to go. Don't want to lose anymore out of the race but have
BDM 16s, outlander 25s, GLV 16s and Zabana at 20s left. So still plenty of room for any potential steamers on the day.
Dear God,
OK, you got your way again and kill-ed vic
Please don't ruin anyone else's dreams before the fezLove
Amen Mischief

My first one too
Report ACStafford February 10, 2016 8:40 PM GMT
Shame. The bookies must be laughing.
Report miltons sophie February 10, 2016 8:41 PM GMT
had 3 horses as the cornerstone of my ap bets including mulitples as well - two of the 3 were TF at all prices down fom 50s and bigger on here and KV at all the 'any race' fancy prices both to win big money.  If any one out there has got the 3rd horse (that i am not going to tempt fate and name) i will apologise now - i am jinxed and fear i have jinxed it for the rest of you Sad just got home from taking daughter to footie and saw this and now trying to not let her see a grown man cry.

Bristol De Mai looks a shoe in and strongly fancied him to win before the defection. So when he wins on the snaff you can console yourselves that Vic wouldn't have won anyway Wink.

Seriously though I have only had 2 ante post bets to small stakes (BDM & Don Poli) as year after year I back non runners. The worst was backing Binocular @ big prices for the Triumph only to see him re-routed and be runner up in the Supreme Angry
Report tomdeane February 10, 2016 9:13 PM GMT
I'm a big BDM fan but surely there is a big worry about him on decent ground? I think he looks a very beatable favourite now. I'm surprised Outlander isn't heading the betting...
Report OnOffer February 10, 2016 10:16 PM GMT
I agree tomdeane, think he's susceptible and I think the betting should have the other two around.

I still think Zabana can go well at a big price, I'm willing to put his bad run down to the ground last weekend.
Report charwell. February 11, 2016 12:06 AM GMT
I don't think BDM needs it soft. He is such a fluent mover and jumper good ground won't inconvenience him.
Report stevo1 February 11, 2016 12:12 AM GMT
Trainers assistant would disagree with above re interview on ATR.
Report stevo1 February 11, 2016 12:15 AM GMT
Then again he has never run on good ground. Which is very unlikely.
Report charwell. February 11, 2016 12:46 AM GMT
Take that with a pinch of salt, until it's ran we won't know. Has won on gs before, which is likely to be the going.
Report stevo1 February 11, 2016 12:57 AM GMT
Good luck with your shoe in.
Report trigger3 February 11, 2016 6:54 AM GMT
Gutted over KV but unfortunately that's the perils of AP punting, you try and get a price at the expense of any number of variables going wrong so far out. You would imagine with most horses having already had their final run that % wise there won't be too many more defections but who knows. One thing for sure is that there will be very little real value to be had in AP markets, apart from the hcaps, from next week on as the form book will be laid bare.
