Hope you're right, scoob. As you might remember, I was always keen for him to go to the RSA as I backed him after last years festival. You seem quite certain of his target - what are your thoughts? Always difficult to trust Giggy. Dare I ask what this leaves them for the 4 miler? Wink

NEWS FLASH......

Bookmakers cut horses for Cheltenham.......

How much of this do you believe? Sometimes I take it with a pinch of salt, I would love to know how much money they've actually taken???

I've backed this horse to win any race but I'd far rather have him in the NH Chase. Don't think he has the speed for the RSA. Good jumper but a grinder to me. Do they really think he can beat NMH? Mind you, O'Leary blew the 4 miler last year when he decided to take on Don Poli in the RSA with Wounded Warrior, so they are quite adept at putting them in the wrong race!

Well all I want to know is where this has come from, cos nowt on any racing sites that I know of.
If this is just PP and BV then I know to ignore it.

I won't go into a full long winded story but unless michael oleary said it in jest then the rsa is the target. I should rephrase the opening statement to I now believe that he's going rsa rather than its a fact he is.

When did he say this Scooby? As I say I have not seen it anywhere.
By:

When: 09 Feb 16 19:41
So PP have cut Roi Des Francs for the Sun Alliance, so if they knew this was his definite target surely they'd lengthen him for the 4miler??? Yet they still 6s

Well I for one believe everything that the O'Learys say. It would have to be exceptional circumstances for them to change their minds at the last minute and put us all away.

Trust what O'Leary says about their staying chasers at your peril. Less than a week before the Festival last year, Giggy declared that Wounded Warrior would contest the NH Chase. 2 days before the start of the meeting they changed their mind. They are perfectly capable of a major feck up.

I don't think that budd has asked an unreasonable question. I haven't seen anything in the public domain either....maybe I'm just not very observant!
By:

Budd I would assume that Scooby is making reference to conversations not held in the public domain Cry
By:

I would want to be sure that O'Leary said he's definitely going RSA ... before I lump on for the 4 miler!
By:

When: 09 Feb 16 20:02
Correct joist, to be brief he said it in person as his best bet for the festival ew rsa.
theres 5 weeks to go, i know what can happen. I took all the prices on exchange hoping he says the same publicly. For what it's worth he wouldn't be my rsa winner but I'm inclined to take the prices about a horse I wasn't sure they were even considering rsa.

If the ground was desperate, he would have a chance at 3 miles. On Spring ground I think he would be outpaced but have a real chance in the NH Chase. Good jumper and stays very well.

So you are privy to info from Gigginstown.
Hope they are genuine then!!!
By:

Budd, if I had the inside from Gigginstown, I'd be typing this from my yacht in the Bahamas! Maybe scooby does know O'Leary personally though if he does, I'm surprised he's posting on here.

My Mrs hopes there genuine, came home excited with a 20/1 ew betting slip and she dosent gamble. I'm sure eddie would be getting a piece of her mind in the parade ring if he was being saddled for the 4 miler.

No need to be so snarky imo, either take it or leave it, Scooby's only trying to help fellow forumites out.
By:

Problem is no one knows anyone on here.
Fair enough if it's genuine, but also fair enough to be sceptical in my view.

Been many come on here over the years with rather differing motives with their posts.
Not a slur,as I don't know Scooby personally, and I sincerely apologise if I offend, but on a forum like this one has a right to wonder.

I seem to remember Paddy Power constantly changing their prices on Don Poli at this time last year for The RSA & NHC.

I tried helping out with some info on the forum a bit and was made to feel like i wish i hadn't bothered, i was just trying to help out like scooby and answer a question i had a little bit of info on that the poster/general public wasn't aware of... I must say this thread has been a lot more polite about questioning him, but at the end of the day info is info take it or leave it do what you want with it. Some people are genuine and just want to help others out.

I no that last statement on this forum is shocking as the general horse forum is like a male version of loose woman nowadays with every thread about bigmart and roida whoever they may be. I much prefer this forum (antipost and the chelt forum) as it seems like actual racing fans who want to share opinions and have an open discussion reg certain horses/races instead, compared to the horse forum who's main point of interest is bet editing and who is the worst tipster lol

Ive been following these threads for a while and and i would be pretty sure scooby has fingers in some pies/ or knows someone who's some one as he's put some horses up that you could only put up if you knew some one who knew something, one way or another, casing point would probably be putting up MIN at 25-1 and 50-1 for the big two races, there has been other examples that back this up, so it is not a one off lucky guess.

Fair points.
We would all appreciate info, the more the merrier,as long as it's genuine.
I agree that Sccoby seems genuine enough, but on here it's wise to be careful.
I have spent my life trusting peoples and its bitten me occasionally but, that's the way I am,but it's a lot harder when you have never met someone.

Just so you know I'm not saying back rdf. Just wouldn't back 4 miler until nrnb

RBoyd86 - this was not a little bit of info? Scooby91 said his Mrs knows EDDIE O'LEARY (who also owns the fav in the race) and he told her that Roi Des Francs was the best bet for the festival. His Mrs doesn't even gamble yet she came home with a AP bet slip for Roi Des Francs for the RSA @ 20/1. Crazy

Looks to me like he spotted that PP had cut RDF price and before he knew it he was digging himself a hole.

I'm relatively new here but i've been on chat rooms for years and what i like about this one is it seems devoid of egos and spoofers. No BS and some very knowledgeable folk. GL

OK don't worry, was going to show some evidence on the request you'd owe me a pint , but it's pointless posting a pic up here when you can't see the person to match it.
Anyway good luck with your bets.

I tell you what Scooby91 i have some friends going on the Tuesday and i will get them to meet you and buy you a pint each. All you need to do is send me a copy of that bet slip dated yesterday. If you can't post a pic on here then just send it to me @ mael112@yahoo.com

I better make sure they meet you in the cheap bar. Wink
