This should really read my next antepost double with Cue Card (Gold Cup). I've already got hundreds of singles and then a few doubles - with Thibault Pinot (TDF @ 33/1), More of That (RSA 9/2) and Min (Supreme 6/1).
I'm looking to add a couple more ew doubles to the old portfolio and welcome any suggestions.
Vaniteux for the Arkle IMO. Was really really taken with him on debut. Douvan is going to frighten away alot of horses IMO so it could well be a small field and he looks an ew bet to nothing at 10/1.... and Douvan still has to get there... And jump around!!

Never really cared for the horse over hurdles ccm but very impressed with the way the horse jumped on its chasing debut,at 10s your getting a better price than douvan to win if it places, and of course, douvan has to jump round and get there in one piece !

Cuf dont necessarily disagree with your choice but all the horses have to jump round and get there in one piece. The Arkle with its small field always good for the ew bet

It's weird this year arkle,I don't have any big fancy apart from barters hill, and I don't even know what race that is going for, still pissed off about Vautour not running in the arkle,I was that pig headed I wouldn't back it in the jlt, more of that starting to interest me a bit.

Just don't really have the time anymore, job seems to be swallowing up more and more of my life. Then with family and Crewe f**king Alexandra I don't have much time to waste on the footy forum. Let's be fair if I wanted to spend my time talking to 5-12 year olds I can just go next door and play with my own kids. I reckon I'll be around on here a bit more now the jumps season is finally in full swing, and I imagine I'll be on the darts forum from thursday onwards, my last day of work until 4 Jan and then I'll be on the cycling forum once the season gets going in the spring.

For the reasons touched upon regarding a likely small field, what about Ttebbob in The Arkle? Trailblazer still as big as 25-1 and apparently a likely runner.Versatile as far as ground conditions are concerned and a solid, speedy jumper. Should go off like the clappers and set up the race for Douvan, but could easily hold on to a place. As short as 14's in places and could go off considerably shorter on the day given a small field. Still, like the other suggestions, has to be commited to run, make it there and jump round! Are you sure about Cue Card, though?

If only you could double with the "to win any race market". Few suggestions for you if interested:
Vaniteux - Arkle 10/1 (wouldn't rule out being upped in trip for JLT but Henderson did say on ATR On The Line that this horse was just killing time over hurdles last year and his chase debut I can't seem to get out my head. As much as I love Douvan, this horse could improve a hell of a lot over fences and at 10/1 each way is a no brainer).
Black Hercules - National Hunt Chase 12/1 (wouldn't rule out RSA but I was told several weeks ago this was Mullins 4 miler and backed accordingly. He made a nice chase debut yesterday over a trip less than ideal, jumping and travelling well throughout. RSA is shaping up to be a very strong race with No More Heroes, More Of That, Pont Alexandre, Killultagh Vic, Monksland, Outlander etc and although this would likely be Wylie's only contender in the RSA, Patrick Mullins is desperate for a decent ride in the 4 miler. Patrick and his cousin originally bought this horse and he thinks the world of him, letting his heart rule his head when picking him over Shaneshill in the Champion Bumper in 2014. This horse will stay all day long, absolutely no doubt about it).
Aux Ptit Soins - World Hurdle 12/1 (it's no secret this horse has had niggling injuries but is due to appear in the first week of the New Year and Nicholls has made it clear this race is the target. He will go chasing next season but to win the Coral Cup on your British debut is the sign of a horse with a very bright future. World Hurdle contenders are very limited in my opinion. Likely contenders are Thistlecrack, Saphir Du Rheu, Martello Tower, Windsor Park and Kilcooley. For me, Annie Power goes Mares Hurdle and the likes of Whisper and Cole Harden have a lot to prove based on what they've shown recently. 12/1 is a very reasonable each way price).
Limini - Mares Novice Hurdle 7/1 (I put her up on the forum when the new mares race was announced and after requesting prices from several bookmakers, I backed accordingly. Although receiving weight on debut, the form of the horses in behind her has been well advertised. Rich Ricci spoke very highly of her recently during an interview with Matt Chapman, along with stable mate Karalee).
Bellshill - Neptune Novice Hurdle 8/1 (At first, I had this horse down as an Albert Bartlett type but after his performance at the weekend and given trainer and jockeys comments after the race, he looks set for the Neptune. There's no doubt in my mind he's a better horse than stable mate Yorkhill and in my opinion, he will be the one dropped in trip for the Supreme or upped in trip for the Albert Bartlett, AB is the most likely).

If you're looking for a couple of long un's Mary, then you could do worse than Velvet Maker for the Arkle, for all the reasons stated above - plus I reckon he has looked the best 2m Novice seen out so far this season, really taken with him. And, The Romford Pele in the Grand National - I hear it's the plan, he stays longer than the proverbial, is a safe economical jumper, if he doesn't ruin it between now and then is on a perfect mark and since his dreadful run last week is available at any odds. The stable is under a huge cloud at the minute, so I'm prepared to put a line through that run and have topped up a few quid. Good luck with the bets, I've not backed CC for Gold, but wouldn't swap him winning it for a 10" c0ck, he's my favourite

Can I ask why do you put the same horse in so many bets? One injury or bad run from Cue Card between now and then would sink so much potential fun. Do you have past success with this method?
Do you cover the other bets too (e.g. Pinot x Min, More Of That x Min etc)?

No and no. I've got loads of each way singles that I've been accumulating since the Betfair. I think I've got a good price but if they lose, they lose. I'm not going to be putting any more singles on and to be honest I probably won't be putting any other serious antepost bets on unless something absolutely screams out at me but a few small each way antepost doubles could make things even more interesting come Friday 18th March.

Apologies, hadn't read the question properly so Vautour no use for ew double. Anyway, the owner is desperate for a Gold Cup and might put the horse in the wrong race. How about Three Musketeers in the JLT? Trainer says he's targeting the race. Entered in the Dipper on Friday.

I've got Identity Thief (25/1) in an ew Trixie with Thistlecrack (8/1) and Cue Card at 14/1 after reading an article by (I think) Ben Linfoot before the Long Walk advising the first two named as additions to the Festival portofolio ahead of their Xmas engagements. Unfortunately, it's only a £1.25 trixie so it'll need all three to win to have me looking in Travel Agent windows but none of them have done themselves any harm.

Thanks for all your suggestions guys. Now Cue Card has won the King George and his price has come in so much I doubt I'll be putting on any more antepost money on Cue Card. I've basically now got my biggest ever position on a horse for a race on him in singles. Some on the sportsbook here, and some with PP and Will Hill. Almost all is 14/1 ew but a bit of it was at 16/1 ew.
I also have ew doubles with Thibault Pinot (Tour de France 33/1) Min (Supreme 6/1) More of That (RSA 9/2) Vaniteux (Arkle 10/1) Kicooley (WH 14/1)
I've actually got quite a few Pinot/Cue Card ew doubles it seems. I must have kept on putting them on when I was drunk when I didn't realise how badly Madiot would neglect signing some decent climbing domestiques for FDJ.
and the small stakes ew trixie with Thistlecrack (WH 8/1) and Identity Thief (CH 25/1).

nice ante post book that mary should give you something to get excited about during the festival week.
not many antepost bets for me but do have don cossack for GC at 7/1, No More Heroes 7/1 for RSA and Indentity thief 25/1 ew for CH.
Happy with those. Wish i had had Thistlecrack at the earlier prices looks a real classy horse but the value is long gone
