Arkle

At 4/1 might start backing him now £20 a week
Report ThunderRoad April 6, 2015 12:17 PM BST
Looks a freak to me; will be pretty impossible to beat wherever he goes.

That being said, 4/1 is a daft price 11 months out. Anything could happen.
Report GAZO April 6, 2015 2:27 PM BST
would have thought 4-1 just to turn up at cheltenham is a pretty good price

He was their Neptune horse at one point so JLT is not out of the question. Ask Vautour backers this time last year.
Report Howdi April 6, 2015 6:43 PM BST
Simonsig was 3-1 to win the Arkle when he won Neptune.
Report The RealDeal April 6, 2015 7:24 PM BST
I'll take the 4's Gaz if it's still available.
Report brandyontherocks April 6, 2015 8:52 PM BST
There is no Un De Sceaux this year though Chief.

The Arkle will be the aim. His price is ridiculous but as soon as he proves his well being he will continue to contract.

Modern ante post jump betting I'm afraid.
Report wellchief April 6, 2015 9:12 PM BST
Yeah I get that mate, just playing devils advocate.

I expect the Arkle but at his current price you'd need to back him when there are no other options.

I'd imagine Douvan Arkle and Shaneshill JLT, but it only takes a dodgy run in a prep and they can be switched around.

Depends which one they see as a future stayer and which is a future speedster

And the small matter of which of em can actually jump a fence.

3/1 paddypower now
Report Paterson92 April 28, 2015 7:23 PM BST
The trainer's praise in the aftermath could not have been more glowing and Douvan was cut to 5-2 (from 3) by Paddy Power for next year's Racing Post Arkle after Mullins confirmed his hope to send him chasing in the near future.

The trainer said: "He could be anything. He is more efficient jumping a hurdle than Faugheen ever was or is. I can't wait to get him over a fence. We will have to talk now and see what the owners want to do."
He added: "On the ground I felt he was as good as at Cheltenham. He handled it very well and watching him hurdle at some of them he just bends his legs and lands on the other side. He is as good as we have ever had."

... if he can jump a fence as well as he can jump a hurdle, nothing will stop this one in next years Arkle!
