He was at the Haydock Preview night and one of the things he said was if you want a run for your money at a big price for a mile and a half in the Champion Chase back Special Tiara. No thanks martin id sooner back something that will run well for the whole 2 miles thanks

His bet of the meeting was Vautour in the JLT.

He preferred to talk about the Handicap Types and lower Grade horses. Horses running well for a long way just because there a price have no intrest to me. I want them to run well for the whole way even if a shorter price. Id prefer to back a 3/1 winner rather than a 33/1 loser that runs well for half the race

well he picked out God's Own today. Said 40/1 was far too big. And it was.

GODS OWN did run well, can see him turning up in next years Champion Chase and running very well.
So Mr Julian does give his clients what they want, I thought after 30+ years tipping he must be doing more right than wrong. Does he have any words of wisdom for Wednesday? |

How did the rest of the week go for him?I used to get his stuff years ago(late 80's)and it was very good but any time I bought anything more recently it's been vague and guessy.Nothing on his website so I presume the whole week was nothing special.
