Several points to consider? ...what will the horse find in a battle? Previously he did everything pretty much on the bridle. The only horse to make him work a little bit was a peak form Cue Card. If he is not giving BJG the right signals every chance he could be PU. Secondly, is NJH as adept as PFN with injured horses? Thirdly, his Ascot run was not intended to be his first start, they kept waiting and waiting and in the end had to run because time was running out. Quite possible they were holding out for as long as possible for him to show something more at home or wanted 2 runs, a prep and a win.

All that said, you can argue both cases well for him winning or losing.

CV, your recent threads on here are very interesting from a psycological point of view. Two weeks ago there was a thread saying there are no stand out bets and it's a poor quality festival, but now you have posted two threads in two days saying the exact opposite. It looks like it has coincided with 4 losing weekends on your blog. A defiant, defensive response. Would still love to know at which point you took 4/1 on Faugheen too given the CH thread at the start of the season.

looking at his 'gallery' on his blog he backed faugheen on the 19th october at 4/1 with £3.65. four days later he advises everyone on his champion hurdle thread:

"Can't really make money betting on any of the top 3 in the market, not value there. "

and suggests backing 3 others.

how can you now publish a page titled 'cheltenham day 1 bets', on a blog named "jumps advisor", and produce a 4/1 shot which is now 5/4?

imagine if priceswise did that, oh sorry guys i took 20/1 douvan at the start of the season so i'm going to count it towards my profit and loss!

Yeah, I had a little look at the gallery and by god...there's been more bets placed on the Festival than I have all year!

If we are living in the past and saying S Sacre only has to find 7-10 pounds to beat Dodging Bullets then what does he need to find to beat C Fever who had D Bullets 5 back in last year's Arkle?

He also says that he has backed Irving and Tiger Roll on the Champion Hurdle thread, but doesnt mention them on the list of bets on the blog.

yeah but collector youre then assuming that db ran to the same level of form at ascot as he did in the arkle - he has clearly improved
By:

He has indeed...was just having a play around as I feel the original poster has automatically assumed S Sacre just needs to improve 7 pounds and that is D Bullets taken care of.

I am on Champagne Fever each way at 10-1 and wouldn't swap him for anything personally but I appear to be in the minority camp.

I never have gone along with the notion of the pure facts and figures when people say that he's got such and such in hand and he doesn't need to reach that mark to win.....I kind of take the view that if the horse under performs then somehow he'll lose even if technically he's not fallen far enough to lose....the other thing is that I just cannot believe that if this horse was really showing them great things at home he would still be the price he is at the moment.

if SDG stays on his feet he wins.
If this was trained by Mullins,
Henderson or Nicholls he would
have been awarded lots more credit
imo.
Won 9/11(a 2nd and unseat).
Showed his wellbeing lto giving
lumps of weight away, will be spot on
come Wednesday.
SS has got it all to prove to me,after
his problems,would have easily beat
Dodging Bullets in the past.Hope we aint
but we may have seen the best of him.

Sprinter Sacre is 10/12 (1 2nd and a pu). 7 of those wins were Grade 1. Out of SDGs 9 wind there was 4 Grade 1s. So what r u trying 2 say PENZANCE?

BG at a preview in Dublin tonight 'I schooled Sprinter two weeks ago and he was electric. Looks like the horse of two years ago. Can't say anymore than that'

They always say Sacre is working well....and Geraghty well known as most positive jockey around. His trainer looks wired to the moon...same trainer was telling us all how well Binocular was and then erm...out

Ladbrokes are dead set against it. That would worry me if I was a S Sacre fan

I guess CV wants to avoid answering the question about his Faugheen stance/bets. Credibility of blog....zero.

Anyone who believes the stable propaganda is nuts. I think it is simply blind faith. You don't just scrape the bar and come away with anything at cheltenham. You have to sail over it and I am not sure SS has it in him anymore.

I find it quite depressing that people on here are REALLY hoping he's not going to perform and that he gets pulled up! We're talking about a horse that has produced some amazing performances. He's had problems and being nursed back to health by a team who would be devastated to see anything go wrong with him. Let's all hope he is back to his best and we can enjoy how great he is instead of thinking about the money you can make by seeing something go wrong with one of the best chasers there has ever been.

I can see him pulled up. Not hoping anything. Be great if he won for team Hendo but I just cannot have it. If he ain't going then Geraghty will pull him up

I'm a huge Sprinter Sacre fan but if I was to lay him eg for a place and something bad happened to him it would leave a really bad taste in my mouth winning money a potentially serious incident.

His best has gone and will never come back.Any human sports person that had problems like SS would never compete again.
