2015 Cheltenham - will update next tuesday and each day of the festival.

2 weeks prior to the start of the festival the top 10 bankers by Volume matched at Betfair are:

1. Faugheen €471,907
2. Sprinter Sacre €334,204
3. Un De Sceaux €279,040
4. The New One €271,023
5. Silviniaco Conti €203,755
6. Peace And Co €190,748
7. Douvan €125,299
8. Jezki €97,847
9. Sire De Grugy €97,923
10. Lami Serge €77,224

At the moment Thursday looks the weakest day using the money traded as a measure of interest in those races with no horse making the top 10, Zarkandar was the closest one with €68,949 matched volume. This might be due to Vautour's lack of plans, he's matched at €48,691 for the Arkle and €35,315 for JLT so he would've got 10th place had punters been aware of what race he takes part in.

The Champion Hurdle seems the hottest race with 3 runners occupying 1st, 4th and 8th positions in the top bankers, followed by the Champion Chase with 2 strong bankers in 2nd and 9th.

7. Douvan €168,126
8. Jezki €120,402
9. Sire De Grugy €119,648

The interesting thing is that Faugheen is continued to be traded with a lot of zest while the rest are backpeddling with only The New One moving a place in the figures.

Looking at last year top 10 list only 4 bankers won but they contested among themselves only 5 races. Now it looks like top 10 will contest 8 races so maybe 6 of the 10 bankers will win this year?
