Not a stable I will ever like to be honest. I could never back one of his with any confidence because some magically improve stones for good ground and Cheltenham, and some don't.
He also gets away with loads of his running shockers in the winter, but all is soon forgiven when he gets a few winners at Cheltenham.
I hate when he has horses that run well below their best so they can be a long term plot too. I don't know if that's his decision or the owner (usually JP) but it annoys me when one hoses up at the festival, when you look at their form and it's 09P8 or something like that.

his horses are clearly nice and fresh after a light season...nice to see them all starting to hit the target frequently tbh, it should be a good end of season for him now and he clearly backed off his string when all wasn't well with them...lets hope he reaps the rewards now for that patience shown earlier in the season, it clearly wasn't a easy time for the stable

However Chief - it's no secret that his will improve plenty for the Spring air and Prestbury Park - so regardless of form figures, just consider all Jonjo beasts IMO. If we know they're dodgy through the Winter, then naturally avoid them. But when we also know that they'll be primed for big Spring festivals having had their true form hidden through the Winter, then it's time to make hay imo.

I think you are taking a huge leap of faith though mate, and are backing blind to some extent.
You are backing in the hope that he will improve them, but you don't know that until the Tuesday.
Maybe backing his on the Friday if he is having a good festival but in the early races you are simply hoping that because he did it last year he'll do it again.
I'd rather back them with the form in the book and are steadily improving throughout the year.
Suppose everyone is different.

you may be right of course wellchief but the signs of a revival are there and a whole lot more encouraging than a few months back when he was bang out of form ,on the plus side his festival horses have not had much racing this winter in slogs or battles in heavy ground and that could count for a lot in march . just watched holywells win at Aintree and he showed an impressive turn of foot between the last 2 fences to put daylight to him and what now looks to be a usefull field don Cossack and many clouds well behind who have both come out this season and made th form look usefull thought it was an impressive win ,likely ground conditions at the festival could be in his favour

Jonjo is JP's puppet and we all know the modus operandi behind the yard.
What they get away with over the season is shocking(another at Market Rasen today).
How they are not hauled in front of the Stewards almost day in day out is a mystery.

I thought Kelvingrove was given a soft one in the pertemps qualifier at Haydock yesterday. Now qualified to run but currently on 130 he may have undercooked this one, and surprised if he gets in off this mark.
Nice young horse though and decent prize in this one over 3miles
