I think I'll back him tomorrow as well, but wouldn't back him each way. My take on it is that if he's the same horse as he was before the fall, he should win. If the market vibes are correct then he probably won't even place.

i think tomorrow just has to be a watching brief. his hurdles form was not good albeit he is a lazy horse. i know he beat AB winner and third, but it was a 3 horse race and the AB looks a very weak renewal. coming back after the eye injury, confidence might be completely gone, and the horse might not be good enough anyway.

I don't think you can say his hurdles form was not good, beating the Bartlett winner three lengths conceding 10 lbs is very good form. If the vibes are correct he won't win but if he continues to drift he's worth taking a chance on for a small stake.

i think it was okay form, but nothing special. very wood didnt do much else over hurdles, the AB was a weird race with the leaders falling in a heap, kings palace falling apart and it all fell into place for VW. briar won the bumper impressively but the form of that is awful.

he is unexposed in fairness but i'd want at least 10/1 to get involved myself.

This may be a false recollection but that day I thought Very Wood had a very easy race until tbe race was over and the jockey then gave him a couple of slaps so as not to get in too much trouble with the stewards.

According to the latest Final Furlong Pod he's been working like a drain ever since he came back from having numerous operations on his head. Said he never worked well before but this is a bit below what was previously expected. Like has been mentioned above, that could just be his way and be may well hit form again on the track
