Supreme would be my guess, as got good few for Neptune.
By:
Hope youre right. got a wee bet on him. look decent on his 2nd race.
By:
I've had a good bet on him this morning at 16-1 as I can't see too many options for the race for Mullins. Added to that I know Wylie thinks very highly of the horse. My only worry is he might need soft ground.
But when you look down the market for the Supreme there aren't many better options than this fella IMO. |

1st race 1st day > g/soft so s/be ok. Royal Bond winner has to go supreme.
By:
when is the last time a flat raced horse has won the supreme
By:
bin going to f/house last 15 or so years that must rank as one of the worst royal bonds i've seen
By:
Well there is one cheltenham winner sorted

I just wonder if they are a bit much of a muchness this year the novices in Ireland. Windsor park was well beaten by Outlander last time out and Mckinly thrashed out of sight which can't be a good sign for tell us more.
By:
Wouldn't be surprised if they went the Neptune with him. Ruby keeps making a point of his staying ability, coupled with he drifted out to over 100 on here for the Supreme only last week.
By:
Sounds like Ruby don't want him in the Supreme, all he kept saying was how much he stays.
By:
need to stay to win the supreme ala vautor and CF
By:
Got douvan for the supreme,I think what ruby saying is doing is similar to vautour saying the horse will stay further, therefore ruby will ride both of the better novices, with shaneshill going back for supreme and this fella going to neptune
By:
He's a super jumper, which suggests he will run in the supreme. I can see Douvan switching to the Neptune, to keep wylie's horses apart.
By:
I don't know what this all means for Shaneshill. He could be switched to the Supreme, but out to 50's on here for that now.
Don't know if all is well with him, as I don't even think he was ever entered in the Deloitte. |
By:
That 50 on Shaneshill lasted all of 10 seconds.
By:
Douvan was originally targeting the neptune. Shaneshill wouldn't have the speed for the supreme.
By:
I have backed Shaneshill for a speculative £5 at 55 on here after that. I have him to win any race and who knows what is going on with Mullins pecking order. If he still has four legs il be pleased.
By:
I think after watching that interview again that he really wants this horse in a staying race, said he will stay as far as you want, and said they think hes like an Inglis Drever type which is why they made use of him.
Could end up in the 3 miler the way Rubys talking!! He wants Douvan in the Supeme and NC in another race, thats my interpretation. |
By:
You'd imagine he'll have to make a choice of 3 out of Douvan, Nichols Canyon, Shaneshill and Black Hercules in the three G1 novice races; unless one doesn't turn up, Towend will have to be on one of them - most likely Shaneshill imo.
By:
I would had thought the neptune would be the perfect race for him
By:
Hope it's the Neptune as have a 20/1 voucher. However, wouldn't be the first time WPM scuppered my AP bets by choosing a different race.
By:
Yip just had a saver at 120 for the Albert Bartlet after Ruby's stay as far as you want comments
By:
One thing for sure is ruby will ride both douvan & Nichols Canyon.
By:
Wylie said on ATR that Neptune is his preference, but will leave it up to Mullins, but compared him to Inglis Drever, so probably a World Hurdle horse next year.
Both Shaneshill and Black Hercules are doing well, hopefully out in the next 5-10 days, but if not, then straight to Cheltenham. |
By:
He'll go to the Neptune.
By:
Glad to hear Shaneshill is still in one piece I wondered if they had forgotten he still had a box in the yard.

OWNER Graham Wylie may be keen to turn Nichols Canyon into the next Inglis Drever, but Ruby Walsh, who won Sunday's Deloitte Novice Hurdle on the son of Authorized, is not convinced he is ready for three miles.
Wylie enjoyed some fantastic moments with three-time World Hurdler winner Inglis Drever and has long been on the lookout for a replacement for the staying star. Nichols Canyon is entered in the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle (2m½f), Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle (2m5f) and the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle (3m) at the Cheltenham Festival next month, although Wylie has said he will leave plans to Willie Mullins and - if the trainer listens to Walsh - the options could be reduced to the two shorter races. Walsh said: "Nichols Canyon won the Deloitte Novice Hurdle, which rode a good race. They went a good gallop and he was keen enough, but he jumped super and he quickened up well, and saw out the trip. "Which race he will run in at the festival, I don't know but Graham Wylie also owns Shaneshill and Black Hercules so a discussion has to be had about where they all have the best chance of winning." Nichols Canyon is 10-1 for the Supreme, 7-1 for the Neptune and 14-1 for the Albert Bartlett, and Walsh added: "I think he is likely to be over two miles to two and half - he stayed well on Sunday, but I can't see three miles." |
By:
Hope he goes supreme, following the same route as CF and Vautour after winning this weekend gone
Got 30's antepost for him to win Supreme :( |
By:
Got my fingers crossed as well... still not ripping up my voucher for the Supreme as Shaneshiill looks more of a stayer to me.
I thought it looked quite straight forward for the 3 Wylie runners... NC for the Supreme, Shaneshill for the Neptune and Black Hercules for the AB. I wonder how much influence Ruby is having as he would prefer to ride NC than Shaneshill... |
By:
Neptune, stayer on flat 2 miles, looks like Shaneshill will drop back in distance then Ruby has Douvan or Shaneshill in Supreme and
Nichols Canyon in Neptune. Tell Us More must be going direct to Neptune,or has issue? |
By:
he looks tailor made for the supreme imo
![]() |
By:
NC that is
![]() |
By:
PP have made their move... they were shortest on him for the Supreme and have just pushed him right out to 12/1 and equal biggest of anybody... while simultaneously shortening him for the Neptune.
Looks like another of my AP bets bites the dust ![]() |
By:
gutted had him at 46/1 and down into 16s..ridden out to make all he would surely have a huge chance in the supreme.. again another ante post bet dead in the water but that's the game..unfortunately ruby seems to call the shots.
By:
Agree mate. Think it was the perfect race for him as well.
