Topped up Wounded Warrior bet in National Hunt Chase, average b/f price 22. Still decent value at 10/1 if Don Poli heads to RSA hopefully.
His form is rock solid inc 2nd to Don Poli btn 2 1/2, then lto beat Rule The World 9 1/2. Hopefully goes for 4 miler as Giggy have Don Poli for Rsa. |

Parlour Games will creep into it and do 'em for toe. Stats are against it but ridiculous to say it has no chance.
|
|
By:
My best are Valseur Lido at 30s for RSA, Tell Us More at 18 for Neptune (still wouldn't rule him out of it but Supreme a poss), Champagne Fever at 14s for CC
Worst is all my accums with Vautour to win Arkle and Briar Hill to win WH :( |
|
By:
Dodging Bullets and Many Clouds both much shorter than my AP now but I'm still only in for very small stakes at this stage. The most frustrating is Jollyallen for the Neptune. Looks like going for the Supreme but I don't fancy him for that!

By:
Bad weekend re ante-post me thinks re Tell Us More and Dynaste ( Gold Cup ) not sure Tell us More will go Neptune after Outlander winning today, but they do ran horses against each other Giggy that is.
|
|
By:
Vautour, Vautour and f*cking Vautour some more.
|
|
By:
Dynaste GC :(
|
|
By:
Paterson, gave up on my Arkle bets re Vautour while back, still think he should go as only stablemate to beat. Jlt looks harder race to win re more open?
|
|
By:
Whisper 16/1 World Hurdle in very open race bar MTT,closely matched with SDR. Havent backed anything for Champion Chase yet, bar Champagne Fever win any race, but cant see why Dodging Bullets is not Fav,appears different horse this season, and has won the right races.danger could be stablemate if heading here Al Ferof.
|
|
By:
Dodging Bullets 9/2 added nr no bet, also put in e/w treble with Lami Serge and Dynaste ( Ryanair ).
Thomas Brown 16/1 in Albert Bartlett. |
|
By:
I can't have Dynaste,I think the ground will be good/soft at worse good/firm at best and a lot of the slow ground
horse will get turned over.. |
|
By:
He is not a slow ground horse, won this race last year on good ground, wont be good/firm at festival no chance.

|
By:
Very happy with Hargam hopefully not a one horse race now lol.
First handicap bet done Mendip Express in 3 miler 16/1. Lt Colonel very weak on here last 10 days, dont look good? |

I've done well with the antepost this year and easily the biggest tank i've had which has increased every year of the 4 or 5 proper ones i've spent having a bet. A lot of these have seemed really obvious to me and I haven't risked many before races, more like jumping on over reactions or under ratings of runs. I have aimed to have enough on to return a certain amount on each one and after adding my bets up i've only really spent about what one would return and that's with some decent sized trixies and yanks included at some good prices.
jollyallan - 25/1 supreme - available within hours of it being obvious it had ran to 150+ and a mighty rating for a novice in the run behind GLV. vatour - arkle - 8/1. - more or less wrote this off but we'll see. The new one - champion hurdle 7/2. Since last year's festival I told myself i'd be making a new hobby out of backing faugheen champ hurdle and this for arkle. I done this but only managed a few whilst faugheen was still around 5/1. I have that in my pocket which covers around a quarter of my ante post but as soon as faugheen went around 6/4 after one run all the value went to TNO so i've jumped ship. polly peachum 16/1 e/w mares hurdle - Willing to completely put a line through last race when a tired faller/pulled up after slip on first try over 3m. We also now know it doesn't handle the bad ground as it was withdrawn a few weeks later over similar. That run was the difference between being 5/1 and 16/1 which was wrong and without anything new it's already 12s best. I'm sure this will be a steady steamer and go off at least half the price i've got and much more closer to aurore destruval. wounded warrior - 8/1 NH chase - placed recently when PP moved Don Poli out for this and in for the RSA. stellar notion - 16/1 e/w novices handicap chase - Another i'm happy to overlook last race considering it needed to run in it to qualify for this but could not recieve a penalty as it was already rated 138. Looks an obvious blot and without that run he'd come here with a solid , progressive profile. Can't have it he's exposed for a yard that is usually so patient. No real rush to back as it may go under the radar and wouldn't be surprised to see it go off bigger. Parlour games - 16/1. neptune - like jollyallan I backed when it was obvious it had ran to a proper mark for a novice last time out. One that is possibly vulnerable to a classy one but half the price already and big enough to get involved in another in the race closer to the time. Southfield theatre - 20/1 RSA. - Was really taken by the comments from Nicholls before this season when he suggested he'd make ''an awesome chaser'' and he already had the profile of cheltenham performer and a gritty stayer. With the RSA mentioned early it made sense and I was impressed with his effort last week over a steadily ran 2m4f which would have really favoured melodic rendezvous. MR is hard to assess but there's a really good chance that's a great bit of form considering ifandbutwhynot ran to 137 after he was thrashed off levels by boondooma who melodic beat well first time out over fences. Really good prep as they know he'll stay so could afford a build up less harsh than most. Don Poli - 4/1 RSA. - Another struck when Paddy shortened him for this recently. I think it's really interesting **** have priced up based on NRNB and offered 4/1 coneygree. They won't take a bet so it's useless but if that's the benchmark for coneygree i'll probably be laying DP off and making coney one of the biggest bets i've had. The rating is no fluke and the 2nd highest rated chaser in the gold cup so far should be nowhere near 4/1 for the RSA. If he doesn't line up i'm happy DP goes plenty shorter if lining up and taken the risk. Can't imagine a future gold cup horse to be shown down the 4m route by Giggi when they have the fav for that anyway without DP. Sacre - 7/2 QM chase. Placed just before his comeback when heard that they seeing the old spark at home. Possibly a little concerning that there's not been much heard of him since but the race looked to me like it was fitness. Au quortz - bumper 16/1. - Another with strong whispers before his last run so jumped on. apache stronghold - 66/1 jlt (to win any race really with hills special 8th feb) - Kindly pointed out to me the other week on here the morning of the 8th. I've got a little feeling this has got plenty of progressing to do based on that win because he showed potent gears and tactical speed considering the trip to get him up with the pace and then battled gamely. He looks to have all the tools and I went in again at 8/1 afterwwards. close touch - 20/1 JLT - Disappointing by it's last run but it was also too bad to be true and i'll probably still go back in again at 25/1 now. His hurdles form has worked out extremely well and he looked so classy on chase debut to think he isn't still a serious horse. coneygree - 12/1 NRNB - gold cup. - If he lines up it will only be because the ground has came soft and if so he's likely to be plenty shorter given his rating. Biggest novice rating since 2000 and that one went off 13/2. This renewal is as wide open as any really so no surprise to see it close to something like that. It seems a no brainer risk free bet. Had a few early this season that are write offs - Wonderful charm gold cup, dynaste gold cup 33/1 after he was 2nd over christmas, carraig mor RSA, bivouac triumph but will cover for fred winter - his run was too bad to be true last time and is now suspect given it dropped to 139 from 147 so gets him in the handicap. |

Worst is Tell Us More, was my first bet of the season, it's shorter than when I backed it but I don't fancy it now and have pretty much written it off. Best is probably a multiple from early December, Un De Sceuax 6/1 Arkle + Faugheen 2/1 Champ + Vautour 3/1 JLT.
84/1 treble that is now about 15/1 due to UDS price collapse. Shame I don't have singles at that price, no idea what I was thinking to be honest. ![]() |

Recent additions Nichols Canyon Neptune, to replace likely non-starter Tell Us More.
Dicosimo 26 on here Triumph, back up to Hargam. Martello Tower 17.5 Albert Barlett, think this has cracking chance, danger Thomas Brown. Overall looking really good bar,Tell us More any race and Neptune, not sure if will turn up at all? No more now till nr no bet kicks in hopefully 2 weeks time. |

robbo69,
DON POLI 25/1 for 2016 gold Cup was with Betfred, he has been clipped to 20/1 - which I still think is way too big. BFred have loads on this years Gold Cup horses at the top of the market, and history shows not many win after their debut in the race. Good Luck. |

By:
Ryanair Ma Filleule 12/1, couldn't resist in weakish looking field.
Ran a stormer last season behind Holywell in opening day handicap, hopefully improvement to come after today, will be in the mix. |
|
By:
Not long to go now,few more added in last week,Nichols Canyon@7s Neptune. Johns Spirit 10s back up to Ma Filleule.
Paint The Clouds 7s Foxhunters. Glens Melody 6s,Nichols Canyon6s ,Ma Filleule 10s e/w doubles treble. Also added Top Notch 14s in Triumph. |

Few more non nr no bet b365, The Young Master again National Hunt Chase 10/1,as backed already for RSA.
Valseur Lido JLT. Got Cheltenham Festival guide today so will start going thru the handicaps. |

Got £4 at 33 and £6 at 31 for Faugheen for CH on here after he won Neptune. Happy with that, even if it was buttons.
Don't know what's worse, having 70, 65 and 60 for a total of £15 on here for Valseur Lido in RSA, or having £50 at 11-2 with the books on Vautour for Arkle. Two losers in this year's game of Willie Roulette! |
|
By:
Few like that Gravy worst is Vautour for Arkle like a few on here, but have some decent ones at prices,
still on target. Nice prices on Faugheen, one race havent had single on yet. Backed Jezki in doubles with Zarkandar at 12s,may steam into Faugheen on day if 7/4 ish as think likely winner. |
|
By:
Sizing John Supreme 25s e/w in PP Douvan wins free bet, has some very decent form, overpriced big time imo.
Irish Cavalier and Oscar Fortune in Novices Hcap Chase, day both 25s. Good luck all and enjoy next week. |
|
By:
Caught a few at good prices but wonderful charm gold cup, carraig mor RSA and close touch JLT/any race have been my main no shows. My best value are all decent each way chances rather than most likely winners but hoping to land one.
southfield theatre 16/1 and 20/1 to win LTO & festival. Jollyallan 25/1 supreme Polly peachum 20/1 Mares. Apache stronghold 66/1 to win LTO and at the festival. parlour games 16/1 neptune Another few on their way to becoming good value and NRNB risk free are general principle 20/1 bumper and coneygree 14/1 gold cup. Both will likely go off around half the odds if lining up. |
|
By:
Benk nice couple of prices there, especially Apache.
Last couple in Handicaps done Lyvius 40/1 and Baradari 20/1 in Coral, Brother Brian 14/1 Pertemps. Just a Par 27s Clondaw Knight 20s Kim Muir. Pendra 12s Ned Stark 9s in Ultima. Good luck all |
|
By:
worst are Rock on Ruby, Jollyallen for the Neptune and Zarib for the Triumph-all non runners and Calipto for the County-very unlikely now.
Best are Dodging Bullets at 15, Many Clouds and Lord Windermere both at 24 and (my nap) Wishfull Thinking at 34. I also fancy Zarib for the Fred Winter but he has never been much longer than the current price. |
|
By:
Good luck sage, still looking at Fred Winter very hard but Zarib top of my list at present.
