Lol need a filing cabinet soon CV by the amount of horses you've bet in each race!
By:
I've a spreadsheet actually. Much better than a filing cabinet. I have a column which contains lost antepost bets, then I put all my live bets under a heading for each race. Supreme, Arkle etc.. I build books for each one, 2 in the Arkle, 2 in the Supreme, 3 in NH Chase etc..

This years Champion Hurdle is £80 in lost bets, £31 e/w on Fly and £15 win. Compare that to the last 4 years and it's dwarfed. I've more money on UDS, Vautour or Peace and Co than I've got in the Champion Hurdle. Race just not one for a big bet this year.

Tiger Roll would be interesting back on good ground at Cheltenham. Not saying he'd win but a performance above the level of what he's shown in his last few runs would not be out of the question.
I feel the race is being billed around 3 horses - 4 if you consider Hurricane Fly a contender - and it underestimates everything else. Plenty of e/w opportunity outside the big 3/4. |
By:
It doesn't underestimate anything,I've said all season faugheen the new one and jezki will finish in the 1st 3,hurricane if it was heavy an Ew chance, the rest have no ****kin chance !

Rampage, you seem to only troll me on this forum. Can I ask why you ran away from replying to my post in the Champion Hurdle thread? I'll copy it in below in case you have trouble finding it.

Yay more morons come along to have a comment. How on planet earth is that an after time? Did I say I had backed Rock on Ruby? Or am I calling Harry a Legend because I know him, am part of a racing club which have 4 horses in training with him. Am going to buy another horse with him and am going down to Seabrough next week? Now run along you idiot. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your only 2 posts in the year, trolling me. Got any actual opinions of your own ?? |

SYT I'll reply back in the Champion Hurdle thread, re Tiger Roll. I seem to have taken this thread off topic.

Taken from first post on the champion hurdle thread - Aside from those 7 mentioned the division lacks much depth to my eyes. Right now you can go back Vaniteaux 33/1, Irivng 33/1, Tiger Roll 25/1 all e/w and come out with a profit if any one of them even places. I think they do offer some great value and have backed all the on the nose. With a view to adding Jezki post soft ground slow run race defeats in Ireland. And now you post this It's not very complicated stuff tbf lads Funny thing is I've pretty much zero financial interest in this years Champion Hurdle. Just backed Fly e/w and will cheer him on, hope he grabs a place at least so he can get cheered into winners enclosure. So which one is it CVByrne? Jeez even I worked that one out!! That all he had left out of those 3 bets was a very slim chance irving could place and further down the thread he mentions to have backed the fly! ![]() Your right CV, proper TROLL ![]() |

And not even posted in the correct thread ffs

I've plenty of lost antepost bets. More lost on Champagne Fever for Gold Cup than on all of the speculative bets in Champion Hurdle. Then we've Allez, Un Atout, Morning Run also is a gonner much to my annoyance. But if UDS wins the Arkle the antepost value I got on him wipes out all my losses. That's the name of the game when playing antepost.

not trolling but i have noticed a lot of what you type conveniently contradicts previous statements when it suits you.

I said I've pretty much Zero financial interest in this years Champion Hurdle. My 3 lost antepost bets are there in the large opinion piece I wrote about the Champion Hurdle. My financial interest in the race is now only Hurricane Fly. Yet you swoop in to troll me.
While in the other thread you call me an after timer in relation to Harry Fry, and Rock on Ruby. I praise the man who is trainer of our horses and will be for years to come, yet you cawl out of the woodwork to say I'm aftertiming backing bloody Rock on Ruby for the 2012 Champion Hurdle!!!! You have posted nothing else on the forum other than those two posts this year. You are a complete troll. |

CV, you're saying if UDS wins the Arkle it will mean losses returned from all ante-post bets, or just in relation to the bets on the Champion Hurdle?
By:
Well done Gutt, the filly looks quality, and with 7lb allowance, I still tink Corals 12/1 for the Triumph for Petite Parisienne, looks attractive.
By:
I bet on UDS @ 7/1, & 9/2 Sint, £50 & £100. I've almost £600 of lost / written off antepost bets so far. So that's £800 profit if UDS wins and I'd only get £90 profit if I put the £150 on at the current 4/6, so the antepost value on one horse can cover lost antepost bets on others. That was my point

wd Gutfeeling, I remember you pointing out PP when they were talking her up big time on the Final Furlong Podcast on Thursday.

Going back on track.....any vibes in Ireland as to which path they will take with Tell Us More?
By:
I think they're still trying to work out what went wrong the last day. Watch Paddy prices for indications as to where he's likely to go. Personally I reckon it's the Neptune or wait til Punchestown. I gather he's fit and well if that's a help.
By:
Looked at Paddy's prices this morning. Noticeably longest on him for the Neptune and shortest for the Supreme.
By:
Can't see what else Giggy would run in the Supreme so seems most likely if they come over
By:
You'd imagine Mullins would want him to run in Supreme as he has 3 already for the Neptune.
Eddie O'Leary said Neptune was the race for him a few weeks back so you'd imagine as Giggenstown decide where their horses go he could well run in Neptune. Once the defeat came lto the original plan of Neptune was put into question |
By:
Cheers CV, you are the man I trust when it comes to looking at the Mullins horses
By:
This horse is going to the Supreme ..... PP shortest for the Supreme .... biggest for the Neptune
By:
I've backed him for the Neptune, Nichols Canyon for the Supreme and Alvisio Ville for the Supreme.
F*cking disaster ![]() |
By:
Giggenstown have always said they want a runner in each race, aside from Tell Us More I don't see who could run in Supreme that wouldn't be a big outsider. He'd have been a cert to run in the Neptune had he won the last day, but to be beaten by McKinley is very poor form.
By:
I've had two bets in the supreme and two in the neptune:
Supreme Allez Colombieres @ 10/1 and 16/1 Alvisio Ville @ 25/1 Neptune Tell Us More @ 20/1 Shaneshill @ 10/1 Gone a treat this year!! |
By:
Problem is Mullins has so many good Ricci, Wylie & Giggenstown horses. He has to keep them apart for their owners and he also wants to try keep his best chances apart to maximise his own winners. It's been an interesting and tough year to try place his string. One defeat relegates one from preference of a race.
I wonder if something has been up with TUM and Shaneshill though, not been sighted is ages and they were both defeated on their last starts. |
By:
Shaneshill running in the Supreme too. Nichols Canyon in the Neptune. Although we kind of knew that after the comments from the Deloitte.
Tell Us More could be forgiven the one bad run. He ran quite well for most of the race but just didn't quicken at all. As you said yourself CV in other threads, there could have been something amiss with him that day and we never heard. |
By:
Forgive him a bad run aye. But he's of no interest over 2 miles in the Supreme for me. He's a Neptune horse or he'll produce an Un Atout Supreme performance. Supreme is the race for Shaneshill (if he turns up) as Wylie has ones for the other two races.
But going on a bit of hope for both in the festival. I'll be mighty happy if either win but I fully expect both to be defeated. |
By:
Don't know if you've seen the Mullins interview on the ATR site.
Says regarding TUM that the school of thought was to drop him back in trip after his defeat but he felt he had different reasons for they defeat. Then goes onto say that he's probably headed for the Neptune. Doesn't commit but that was his line of thinking. Coupled with the O'Leary interview a few weeks ago, what's happened in the past week for TUM to now be headed to the supreme? No horses have won etc |
By:
I think TUM will end up in the Neptune - just a hunch
By:
Yeah, Paddy has generally been correct this year, but they are only a point or two shorter for TUM supreme. Nothing that stands out anyeay.
Plenty more twists to come I reckon. |
By:
Still Neptune bound if he "starts to show more at home this week" Doesn't sound too positive
By:
I doubt Gigginstown will run 3 or 4 in the Neptune and none in the Supreme. I'd still say Supreme despite Mullins comments say he prefers the Neptune.
