Day one - Big bets on Trifolium and Our Conor and a big e/w double. Missed the placepot in the final leg.

Day two - Big bet on Sire de Grugy at 4/1 and a double on Faugheen @ 7/4 and SDG @ 7/2. Few speculative punts in the handicaps but no good.

After two days I'm in profit. Whole day tomorrow will depend on Annie Power. If she's beat it'll pay for my summer holiday.

Day 1/ Holywell and Quevega with a good return on L'Unique on Day 1 made up for my biggest ever bet on The New One and a terrible Supreme
Day 2/ Balthazar King and Silver Concorde big winners making up for big losses on Sizing Europe and Many Clouds. Also had the 24/1 Vautour/Faugheen PP enhanced double for a nice return.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 3/ Big each way bet on At Fishers Cross that has the potential to make my day
Day 4/ Have a £5 trixie on Vautour & Faugheen running onto Briar Hill that will make my festival whatever else happens.

Well done today Mr E and good luck for tomorrow
My position at the moment is twice as bad as this time yesterday. have been going close. Smad Place,Any Currency,Bailey Green, was
just making his move when tipping up 3 out. Also Ballyglasheen  who was out of the FW at the 2nd through no fault of his own

Getting down to a study up now and hoping for a change of luck tomorrow

Day 1, one of my worst ever days at Cheltenham in 25 years.

Day 2, 90% back and hit the woodwork 3 times as well.

If that rate of progress continues, I could be retiring come Friday evening. Cool

I don't like these threads unless you can somehow verify people's bets but i'm stickler for that!

Been a disappointing 2 days for me so far.

Day 3 will decided this years profit or loss.

Well all of my bets, winners and losers, are on various freds with the exception of Silver Concorde but I didnt decide that until mid-morning when I read Weld's comments in the RP which completely contradicted the prices of SC and Vigil, and by then I was already out of the house.

Doing ok,enjoying it all as normal, more ups then downs so far.....just, but its only halfway!!

Summed up a typical festival really, having GMOOH losing a tight finish followed by having Balthazar winning one.

Oscar Whisky, Annie Power and Last Instalment could make it a real good week, LI especially.

Good luck 2nd half Mr Eboue and all.

Day 1 - Big E/W Irving and Dodging Bullets. Massive bet on The New One, small bets on Sirene D'ainay and  Attaglance Crazy
Day 2 - Bad start with Red Sherlock, Sire De Grugy and Balthazar King first 2 winners but still a poor start.

3/4 - Oscar Whiskey/Big Bucks/Bobs Worth to save the day Love

I know Mary. Not having a dig at anyone. It's just a thing I have, like to see who's backed what beforehand so you can see it is all.  All my bets are posted too. Day 3 will decide my week for sure!

well done Eboue. Try not to give it all back!

Day 3 traditionally not my best day. Quiet Cheltenham this year thus far. Just got my nose in front with Faugheen. Don't intend to give it em back.

Champagne Fever getting nutted on the line and then The New One being hampered cost me a packet and it was all downhill today until the bumper. Roll on Thurs/Fri.

Day 1 - Bad. Was all over The New One for 11 months and backed Shotgun Paddy too
Day 2 - Backed Faugheen at 11/4 last week, £3 trixie with Faugheen, SDG and Balthazar King and a double on the first two. Then for good measure somehow managed to find the winner of the fred winter at 40/1 last night.

Bring on the rest of the action

yesterday,OK - celebs spotted were Merse (drinking water), Ray Parlour (don't think he was drinking water),Denise Lewis and, the daddy of 'em all, Bruce Forsythe (good game).

today was a disaster rescued only by a glimpse of Jim Davidson (nick, nick) and some sad act who apparently features in The Only Way is Essex (so I was reliably informed).

Back home tonight, tired, enjoying it, just about to start on tomorrow's cards - only halfway through and then Midlands National on Saturday(!)

Did n't back Sire De Grugy but thrilled to bits for the horse and his connections.

doing well but Any Currency (traded at 1/50 in running) would have been tremendous.

Landed my biggest ever bet on SDG - thought it was ridiculous how they kept crabbing him when the rest of the field had bigger holes to shore up. Price was amazing - had some with Baldy Bouncer too so got 11/2 with him Excited

Third Intention today!

carbon copy of last year for me, If Conti wins the gold cup, Mccoy getting my tent or yours beat will have cost me 10 grand, but on the plus side if conti does win he'll win me a grand, can't help but thinking the one that got away already though. Cooper falling off everything yesterday summed my wednesday up and any currency just failing has well and truly stuck the boot in. I love this game :) taquin du seuil, at fishers cross and most of JP's runners today will get me out the ****. good luck everyone.

Just a bit down overall but a poor first day was partly saved by a small bet on Midnight Prayer. Slightly up yesterday thanks to Sire de Grugy and Balthazar King and luckily I swerved the Fred Winter completely which takes a lot of discipline from me.

I'm slightly in front thanks to Jonjo but it's  as tough a Cheltenham as I can remember. Apart from the world hurdle I'm playing safe and having a few EW bets today in the hope another one stoats today. Tomorrow doesn't look any less testing for punters so I expect to be losing by the end of the day unless last Instalment wins the Gold Cup...fingers crossed

Layed the life out of Annie Power but wasted so much of the profit on stupid handicap races where I was frittering money down the pan.

A good day but greed got the better of me.

Tomorrow's card is an absolute joke. 2 runner Gold cup and Albert Bartlett. Triumph looks very low on quality.

triumph hurdle looks shocking really poor, took a chance with rutherglen based on his very quick time he clocked latest over hurdles. value at 12s rest are just a moderate bunch beating each other.

Cracking day today.

Uxizandre placed at 40s, Trustan Times placed at 25s, Rajdhani Express placed at 25s, At Fishers's Cross placed one of my biggest ever bets, then a winner in the last.

I think Calipto could be quite decent Brooksie. It's just whether he is streetwise enough against tomorrow's rivals.
