Surely one of these up-and-comers must be able to improve past a 12-year old, but was the winner 3 years ago, should have won 2 years ago and was clear 2nd to Sprinter Sacre last year. I'm on at 16s as my biggest bet of the day. 2 miles is still his best distance in my opinion, and gets his ground. Unlike the rest of these, we know he loves Cheltenham. A fair chance of a place tomorrow, and will get a cheer as big as the winner if he does.

Hinterland is the best chance of a win with Special Tiara a danger to all.

One of my main e/w bets of the meeting. The old boy will be bang there when others start to feel the pace.

Yeah agree so proud of this horse. Didn't back him but was desperate for him to place. Ran a blinder and gave the traders a great run for their money.

fabulous round of jumping today, bang up for it and reveled in the much deserved post race attention.

I did n't have a bean on him but just great to see him sign off in such fitting style.

Was it confirmed that he has been retired or not?  I know after the race they said he was, but then they seemed to change their mind and said they'd sleep on it.

He's rightfully earned his place at the top table of the great 2m chasers.  With a bit more luck, he'd have a Champion Hurdle and another QMCC to his name.

Fantastic performance by the old boy yesterday. Shows there is still some petrol in the tank.
