It's interesting to note that there are a couple of 3-1 shots in the 2 big hurdles races that have won 20/22 and 19/20 of their hurdle races respectively (you know who they are). One has run the race he is contesting 4 times, the other twice. Neither of them have EVER been unplaced. Not once, ever, in 6 years of top level competition. An each way double pays around 15-1 on the win part and 6-4 the places, giving you a 50% profit on stakes for 2 thirds. Just saying.
I assume you're speaking of Hurricane Fly, but he has ran in three Champion Hurdles and has been unplaced once in Ireland. The other is presumably Big Bucks, who was unplaced last time out.
