I had lumps, and I mean lumps, at 33s and 25s on Cue Card, then backed him at Haydock for decent money and put all the winnings on him at 10s and 8s, the going has come right and he would be about 5 or 6/1 now, was trying to win me about £60k
that is the gamble with ante post punting, everyone on here has lost money on horses that haven't made it to the races
sucks don't it

The horse has been drifting for days. This stable is terrible for laying a horse prior to a problem being announced. They should be looked into really.

Fair enough - my issue with the OP is that there is no qualification in what he wrote. I'd much prefer if he wrote "Josses Hill seriously drifting, etc." which would have been a true statement. I don't like it when a prediction (however plausible) is presented as a fact....

The price may be more to do with how the two Nicky horses have been workiing, and who Geraghty may ride. He may not be 'out'. The works Vautours and WB did had the prices going, and Ruby has still chose Vautour.

Didn't BJG speak very positively about Josses Hill's chances for the Supreme at a couple of previews?
What would any employee manage to get out of laying Josses Hill on here over last couple of days? €1000-€2000??
It's amazing that Henderson lets it to continuously happen,it's terrible PR for the stable and shows a distinct lack of class.

Doubt they would have got more than £500 out of laying him in the last two days. In fact the recent volumes have been even worse for Josses hill than the previous few weeks!

The amount isn't really the point (apart from it being a relatively small amount).
Whether JH isn't going to run or just that BJG isn't going to ride, surely the expansion of prices prior to the announcement is terrible Public relations for the stable.
The contrast between Cue Card being ruled out and Sprinter Sacre was very revealing.
Whatever about Henderson having contempt for punters, I am sure there are many in racing circles that also think its crass.

It's not just SS though. There have been loads of example in recent years when one of his has been cleaned out in the pink section before they inform people. Grandouet, Binocular (the season he actually missed the race) SS, others whom I forget.

the owners son tweeted about an hour ago "as it stands jossies hill is still a runner". sounds to me like it may have a small problem, i did hear rumours earlier in the week that it had been a little under the weather

This interesting. There was a time many moons ago when this owner liked a tilt at the ring but more so on the flat. I remember him have some real touches with Reg Akehurst. I wonder. Trouble with Cheltenham is that you can never guarantee that you are going to win!

NJH said there was an "issue" with Jossies on monday but thats now corrected it self, whatever that means? Sounds like it had something minor Monday but now seems ok.

Thought that was a great run today. He was comfortably the 2nd best horse in the race. Tinkler had to take a pull at halfway and couldnt see enough daylight to use his big gallop. Noones fault though.
