Well i dunno who has plucked that out of their arse but WPM practically confirmed WH this mornin from wat i saw
|
By:
Was he on morning line mate? I'm only posting what was on the page but Twitter is full of these sorts of rumours
|
By:
Channel 4 Racing @Channel4Racing 3h
Mullins on ANNIE POWER. "There looks to be easier opposition in the World Hurdle. At this point that's where she's likely to go." |
By:
said she runs in wh?
|
By:
Cheers BJG
|
By:
wasnt that morning line piece filmed 10 days ago though?
|
By:
The supposed rumour has been started because apparently Davy Russell said she would go straight to Aintree
|
By:
is that right SJ? Cheers mate
|
By:
She will be running. At world hurdle.
|
By:
All rather bizarre
|
By:
Yeah hibbie he apparently said it at a preview night then Twitter went into overdrive
|
By:
Read a preview night report from Thurs/Froli night in which the panel wer asked about Annie Power..De Bromhead said he had spoken with Ricci who said he wants to go Champion route but that Mullins wants to wait for Aintree.
|
By:
if the owner really, really wants her to run in the Champion Hurdle then that surely is what will happen.
zigazig ha. |
By:
Love to be fly on the wall in there house lol, because what i've heard is mrs s ricci wants to go wh!! and mr ricci whans to go champion!! and they done really want to upset Quevega going for the record, mmmmmmmmmm mullins will say wh!!,ruby will say wh!! if i had a horse good enough to go to the champion then go there, then world next year or the mares if annie was not good enough this year, put your foot down mr ricci who wears the trousers in your house lol
|
By:
All the time Hurricane Fly is fit and well,AP will not be declared for the CH,shes on stand by,simple as that for me.Shes been campaigned more as a 2 miler than a 3 miler, never even run 3m yet.
The closer it gets the rumours/hints of the World Hurdle seem to develop. HF runs in CH,AP in WH. Something happens with HF,AP in CH. Un De Sceaux probably being kept fit as well in case HF don't make it. |
By:
Hasn't half shortened for the Mares race! Can't see it but last matched at 6.2.
|
By:
cant see it either, but if quevega has a setback, then I can.
|
By:
cant see it either, but if quevega has a setback, then I can.
|
By:
oops!!!
|
By:
Yes, if Quevega missed out, then I agreee it would be the mares. But Quevega steady in the market. I'd be wanting longer than 6.2 at this stage.
In saying that, there are some idiots out there. You read people on twitter saying she's going for the mares because 366 have her at 4/5! Not understanding NRNB. |
By:
Darn good price that, would be at least a 1/3 shot without Quevega imo.
|
By:
Agreed. It's a no lose. Lump on at 4/5. Money back if Quevega goes for it. Huge price if Quevega missed out. I'd have AP a 1/4 shot.
|
By:
Very solid on here for world hurdle and would expect a sea of blue on oddschecker if she was confirmed for anything.
|
By:
Feel a bit for connections here.
Given Mr Ricci's association with the Mullins yard he should understand their reasons for not wanting Annie Power to line up against Hurricane Fly. That said I can understand Mr Ricci not wanting to run her in the World Hurdle given she's untried at the trip. Best solution all round might be to give it a miss this year. Wouldn't be a total surprise. |
By:
I'm actually bored listening about the horse personally. I have a good bet at 6-1 for world hurdle and think the amount of hype over where she is gonna run has, quite frankly, been ridiculous
|
By:
Beat me by 1pt Bally, on at 5 nrnb.
|
By:
Wouldnt even be in my top 5 of ante post bets to be honest Budd.
|
By:
Would suit my bets if she stayed away, but that's not the point of the Festival IMO.
|
By:
The race she should run in is the Mares but she will go World if any because little to beat.
Always been no chance of running in the Champion whilst the Fly is running Always been no chance of running in the Mares whilst Quevega is around |
By:
personally i dont think it could win any of the 3 races, would it beat the fly..no,would it beat quevega..dont think so..would it beat big bucks or rule the world over 3 mile..no chance, wouldnt get 3 mile in the back of a horsebox !
|
By:
no chance of beating Rule the world?? Big Bucks one race in about 400 days and beat. 11yo..he's covered.
|
By:
No chance she would beat Hurricane Fly or The New One.
|
By:
If a horse runs over 3 mile and wins does that mean it stays 3 mile.
|
By:
wpm says decision tomorrow on where annie goes ,no clues from him , barry gerahty hinting she may miss chelt
|
By:
Where did he say decision tomorro foyles?
|
By:
err sorry wasn't concentrating (age thing ) that was on the 28th of feb he said that ! still no clearer ?
|
By:
Think they knew 2 weeks ago that she goes for world hurdle when Nichols said that Annie was the only danger to Big Bucks.Ruby does talk to Nichols.
|
By:
official now anyway. World Hurdle it is!
|
By:
IT WAS confirmed on Sunday night that Annie Power will take on four-time Ladbrokes World Hurdle champion Big Buck's at Cheltenham in 11 day's time, when she will be ridden by Ruby Walsh, who rode Big Buck's to all of his festival victories.
Annie Power also had the options of running in the Stan James Champion Hurdle or the OLBG Mares' Hurdle, but trainer Willie Mullins said on Sunday connections had decided to bid for the staying hurdlers' crown. |
