Mate of mine has left it too late and is looking for a ticket for the Best Mate enclosure on Gold Cup Day, does anyone know what the "going rate" is from the Touts on the day ?

Currently £63 on Ebay so trying to work out if its worth buying now or waiting.

Thanks in advance

They normally buy for 30% of the price and then mark
-up the orginal by 200%-300% so would assume that £63 now is probably going to be as good as it gets. Assume once you try and buy on a "sold out" day they have you by the proverbial.

Cheers for the info Fallen Angel. I've walked past them countless times but never asked how much they charge, as you say with that enclosure now Sold Out I suspect he may be heading off to Ebay  !!

Enjoy I am only going Champion Hurdle day this year as GC was too busy. Hope you get a classic though, I'm sure a few well placed Guiness and the ticket cost will be forgotten Grin

I thought they generally were available off touts for a bit more than face. There's loads of touts so you won't be paying that much more than face.

Anyone idea how much a tout would buy for two club tickets on the day on the Friday?
Report Fallen Angel February 24, 2014 4:21 PM GMT
Generally I have experienced about 30%-50% of face value. You are better off selling them on Ebay as they will be sold out before the end of next week most likely

I managed to get a ticket for the best mate enclosure from some bloke on cheltenham high street at face value last year
Report bluebirdfan February 24, 2014 10:09 PM GMT
Cheers FA, got them for a mate who is still not sure if he can make it. I'm 99% confident he won't so time to start thinking about selling them. Not a user if eBay, how much would they fetch on there?

I might be wrong but don't think club will sell out this year.
Report cufcno1 February 25, 2014 3:36 PM GMT
does anyone know how i would pay for a ticket in the clubh enclosure, tuesday and wednesday
Report aaj8714 February 25, 2014 6:17 PM GMT
I know on Tuesday11th March 2014 you can buy online from cheltenham racecourse direct at £75.00 in Advance.
They charge £80.00 if you buy on the day.

I won one for Club Enclosure Tuesday 11th March but can't go due to commitments so am selling if offer is reasonable.

@bluebird, if its sold out I would say you would get face value or slightly more than face value depending on availability. If they don't sell out then less than face value but more than touts on the day. The other option might be seatwave
