Just my opinion but as the race was won and where AP had him, Jezki could never win the race. Slow pace (slower than the novice hurdle) and 2 ex-flat horses as opponents, the race is meaningless as far as Chelt goes.  If you fancy Jezki before, there is no reason to change your mind after today but you get a bigger price.  I am not saying he will win, just today was in no way a trial for the Champion.

That's about right Mahle. Today's race didn't tell us anything new; it just confirmed that the Fly is a better horse still than Our Conor. Jezki was never going to win given that ride.

Surely people must start giving credit to Champagne Fever for his win in the Supreme - and not use it as a stick to beat MTOY with. Two very strong 2m hurdlers - ultimately one had to lose. MTOY lost nothing in defeat and I don't think that race diminishes his chances. Personally I'd be looking at it in a way that it enhances his claims.

Must admit that was a bit of a none event as far as jezki concerned but can't lie and say im happy, just hope he turns up and might back it at 16s

Jezki is in the wrong race. He is a stayer with no tactical speed, and really ought to be in the World Hurdle.

The ICH tactics were absurd, though. Surely at Cheltenham he needs to race prominently at a fast pace.

There is no chance of AP riding Jezki because Jezki had no chance in the race.

Simples.

I wouldn't blame the iphone. Betfair know you can't see what you're typing due to the forum headings overlay but aren't bothered.

As for Jezki,I'm bemused by their tactics in the last two races. They say the horse needs a fast run race but when they were handed a ready pacemaker twice in Captain Cee Bee they were frightened to go with him. It makes what they were saying sound false. It's time to stop over-complicating things and get on with it. I'd put a pair of blinkers on and tell the jockey to make all. The horse looks one paced but if they can maintain a fast even gallop they might blunt the speed of the others and stay on at the end. Worth a go I would have thought.

I think your getting jezki totally wrong autocue. he aint one paced, or i havent seen evidence of it. Maybe not as speedy as a MTOY but definately not one paced. Did that race yesterday tell us he is one paced? surely not. badly positioned and the heavy ground did for him. What horse could have pulled as bad as that on that ground and beaten a horse of hurricane flys calibre? none i reckon. well see the best of him at cheltenham

In which race this season have you seen him show a turn of foot at the end of the race? I can't recall one.

Whatever one thinks of Jezki, and I for one have never really fancied him for the CH,i do have to say that hes getting no help whatsoever from his jockey.

His price is now getting tempting if you think different tactics can improve his chances, after all he aint been far behind the other 2 this year!! despite the rides hes been given.
I mean had he been close to CCB,it would have helped him settled much better, and would not have to make up ground on his main rivals, and he could have got 1st run on them.
Anyway, reckon they have learned now what not to do,or should have!!

Yep and kill two birds with one stone, and potentially aid both himself and MTOY's with those tactics.

Interesting angle Duffy. Jezki as MTOY pacemaker but with his own chance of winning if good enough.
