Danny Mullins is a major negative in a race that takes a bit of riding like the supreme.
By:
Agreed. How many times has he actually ever ridden at chelt?
Not just any race either - it's the first race on the first day! |
By:
Ok Bally, hes won 2 grade 1's has he. All well and good, but the form aint working out.
Look at the form of Vautour. I know which one I prefer. Still, come March TTT might be the one, just his form dont say so. |
By:
I've backed him for the Neptune, so looks like I'll be getting my money back as a free bet.
It would concern me though how Moyle Park got him off the bridle so easily lto. Ok, he did pick up and the Supreme will be a furious pace, but I feel he may lack the tactical speed within his race if he needs to get out of a hole, similar to Jezki lto. |
By:
Vautour??whos he beat?usual "cos he's Mullins he must be good" for me
It would be a mistake for The Tullow Tank to run in Supreme.would be off bridle a lot sooner than most whereas in Neptune what we got?Faugheen?Anything else? |
By:
Bally,im looking at form, not the trainer!! Jesus!!!!
Hes beaten better horses than TTT has,and they have franked the form. |
By:
Vautour has better form than The Tullow Tank who has won 2 Grade Ones? Who has Vautour beat? Haven't really looked to be honest. All I saw lto was that he took forever to get home and I thought Supreme favourite???
By:
well take a look then mate.
grade 1's are only as good as the horses taking part in them. |
By:
Name the better horses that Vautour has beat....
By:
Just have a look for yourself, all the forms available.
Look at what Lieutenant Colenel,Western Boy and Kylestyle have done in their races. |
By:
Then look at what horses that TTT has run against, you will then see why I have the opinion that Vautour form is better.
By:
Western Boy - won a maiden hurdle
Mr Fiftyone - beat him 11 lengths but The Tank beat him 13 Lieutenant Colonel - won a maiden hurdle Kylestyle - hasn't ran against Vautour has he? Or do I need to put my specs on. But he's 1/4 in hurdles. |
By:
You not very good at reading form it appears.
By:
Each to their own to be honest mate but I've just pointed out who Vautour has beat and what they have done. You're not exactly making any points to back up why you think the horses Vautour has beat are superior to what The Tullow Tank has. You've even quoted a nag Vautour hasn't even raced against.
By:
All my points are backed up by looking at the form, I aint listing all of it when all you have to do is look on the RP site.
For example, yes,Kylestyle has not run against Vautour, but he did get beat by Western Boy,and then was impressive in winning next time out. Theres a fair bit of winning form all over Vautour if you look, very little surrounding TTT. Yes, each to their own mate. |
By:
Plenty that TTT has beat have nt been out since so hard to say he has beat nothin - threw a few bits up on him and the race yesterday.

By:
Just quoting the formbook BJG,whats there is there.
Im not saying Vautour is a better horse than TTT. Just talking about the form that's in the book thus far. |
By:
I said that if u read it

By:
yeh,good bit of writing that.
By:
Fenton states today that Supreme is favoured, but will step up in trip for the Deloitte, and the ground will decide his festival target.
Nothing really that we didn't already know, but Fenton is sounding pretty bullish. I've backed him for the Neptune NRFB, but won't be going in for the Supreme, but good luck to those who have. |
By:
Hope there is enough pace in the race today.
By:
Great ride from Ruby. Could well have seen the Supreme first and second there. Think the tank could struggle to reverse placings though.
By:
do you think they will step tullow tank up in trip can't catch??
By:
Trainer originally talked about the neptune for TTT, he was spot on based on that run today, needs further.
By:
I've said plenty of times on here that I don't think he's quite quick enough over 2m, but obviously a stronger run race will help him.
I'd still like him to go to the Neptune (from a racing and pocket point of view), but I agree CCM, Vautour looked very impressive and looked to have a lot more in hand if he needed it. |
By:
Had the better form, and has now proved the better horse.
TTT had a fair bit of effort form his jockey just to get close, and did not really do that anyway. Ruby hands and heels. Very impressive from Vautour. |
By:
I am not sure that conclusively proved he wants further. A scorching pace in the Supreme will help massively IMO. Vautour very much had the race run to suit him.
By:
They'd be taking a chance on there being a strong pace, whereas in the longer race they've got a more guaranteed stamina required race.
By:
especially with walsh up front.
By:
Very surprised at Mullins seemingly throwing the towel in on beating Vautour on a rematch
By:
If the Tullow tank goes for the supreme rather than the Neptune ill pish myself laughin.serious chance in Neptune
By:
Fenton hinted strongly post race ( interviewed on Irish TV ) that TTT would go for the Neptune
By:
He said he was goin Neptune - sadly for me him and Faugheen gonna av to meet but alas
https://soundcloud.com/sportinglife/philip-fenton Last min of the interview |
By:
Right decision IMO, be tough beating faugheen though
By:
Trainer is hinting he did not have him fit yesterday fwiw, Supreme still an option.
By:
Hinting he didn't have him fit?? I know some trainers like to put us away but Fenton in yesterdays RP, He looks the one to beat. he's in top form and leaping out of his skin.
By:
Wonder if the ATR boys have got over his defeat yet?? they must have clubbed together and had all their savings on TTT by the way they were talking yesterday, before and after the race.
Even interviewed the jockey before Walsh after the race!!...don't see that very often. |
By:
Agree Budd they had plenty of excuses. Dont believe he would beat Vautour in a month of Sundays.
By:
By:
Ruby hardly used the whip. The did all go on about TTT. They couldn't see past Don Cossack either.
