Un Du Sceaux or Melodic Rendezvous maybe?
By:
Has there been any news regarding Melodic recently? Is he still heading towards the Champion Hurdle.
I am not sure Un De sceaux will head to Cheltenham myself. Hasn't had a campaign thus far that Suggests he will be going. Ruby quoted he will be champion hurdle horse one day. |

I think he'll tip Un De Sceaux
By:
I'd be amazed if it was MR.

I think pricewise may well put up our connor which is why I have had to go in earlier than I had liked , didn't really fancy this horse that much I was probably swayed by the 5yo stats ,but after watching his runs last season especially the triumph cakewalk ,I was just waiting to see him run this season to see if he was up to cutting it with his elders ,his run in the Ryanair hurdle where he was a little weak in the betting and receiving 3 lb from h.fly and jeski was a cracking effort he jumped well travelled well and was arguably going the best on the run to the last where it looked as though he blew up and he should improve a good deal for the run .
it was reported that he had a minor setback before the morgiana and missed the race so all in all it was a very good effort imo . at around 10s he looks the value left in the race to me and I expect tom segal to put him up tomorrow . |

Lets hope his arm of followers get a run for their money this year...
Dont think any of last years 4 selections even ran in the championship you can also add Tidal Bay in the national to that list. |
By:
I reckon he'll tip Jezki. He was keen on him for the Ryanair Hurdle and he didn't disgrace himself. He might have got to within a length of the Fly if he hadn't been boxed in.
By:
Slightly off subject but dealing with jezki, people are concentrating on jezki getting boxed in but aren't spending enough time realizing that his inability to quicken at that crucial point caused his problems, the room was there for him to get away before OC got there but the change of gear wasn't there.
By:
I agree Duffy. Jeki will probably be outpaced at the festival. I was far more taken by Our Conor at Leopardstown than by Jezki, but I'm just trying to get into Segal's head.
By:
same here duffy I had backed jeski for the churdle but after the run in the ryanaire I traded out ,think he will find the pace of a few of these too hot !
By:
unless the rp want a spectacular headline i.e "pricewise picks 50/1 shot " then the only one I can see him going with is un deux scauex ,unexposed ,improving but an unknown quantity ,big question will ruby get off the fly for this one ,don't hold your breath

only other one ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I too think OC may well be his choice, because you can find plenty to be optimistic about from his last run, he travelled well and "looked" to blow up a bit,if you subscribe to that then it's fair to assume that he'll come on for the run, the irish CH will be a crucial race
Segal will be sorely tempted to therefore go with a horse that is a double figure price now but could possibly be on a par with the other favs. should the next race go well, and even if he doesn't win next time he could still further enhance his rep should he progress again, which would keep the PW selection valid. He's not my selection as I'm committed to tent now but I think 10's is fair value as before his last race I was very much in the "beat nothing in the triumph" camp, the comeback flat run didn't do much to discount that, but the other day he showed he was far from out of place mixing it with the best 2 milers and with improvement/fitness to come anyone fancying him should be more than hopeful......I'm talking myself into a bet. ![]() |

By:
Un De Sceaux is also trained by Willie Mullins, who Sir Tom tends to follow.
By:
Annie Power, perhaps? Unlikely to take on (and likely beat) Quevega, and not certain to get the World Hurdle trip, so may well run in the Champion. 14/1 in places.
By:
AP supporters will want to be hovering over the back button in-running in the irish CH should HF be running below par

By:
I'm in the same position as you Duffy. I fancy the Tent, but if Our Conor is of interest. Tent seems to have drifted on here over the last few days, out to nearly 5/1. I've put a few quid on, but I'm trying to wait until the day, as I can't see him being much shorter then.
By:
Would be very surprised if Tom does not pick Annie Power
By:
It looks like it's Un De Sceaux!
By:
Fair choice,16 nrfb could look big on the day.
By:
VC won't give me free bets any more, which is a shame as its a good offer. If he's tipped UDS, surely it has to be NRFB? Has anything been mentioned by connections about the likelihood of him running?
By:
Nope, well not that ive heard anyway.
By:
Can't see this running this year, maybe next?

By:
I think its Annie Power you know.

By:
never run left handed

By:
un de sceaux never run left handed ^^^^^^^^^^
By:
Why would he tip Annie, does he save face if its a non runner
By:
Hes put up Annie 14/1
By:
just Annie Power in the top five bets on oddsch3cker website @ 11/1 when 14/1 was there a couple of hours ago.
By:
If he tips either AP or UDS I reckon he is ducking the issue.
By:
16/1 even*
By:
Good the punters enemy has done us a favour
By:
