Did he win the Irish Cesarewitch as well?
Report TEN2FOLLOWER November 4, 2013 6:50 PM GMT
No.

Hi TEN2FOLLOWER,

Where is the best place to find the 3yos going hurdling? I've been looking in stable tours but are there any other places I can get a more complete list?
Report TEN2FOLLOWER November 8, 2013 10:12 PM GMT
TR.
I look at articles, stable websites and betting on 0ddschecker.

I wasn't that convinced by Royal Irish Hussar prior to today's race, but I have to say I was impressed today. Reminds me a lot of Katchit - small but gutsy. Katchit hurdled better at this stage of his career, hopefully RIH can brush-up his technique.

Some decent gaps behind the front two suggest the form's strong. 16's looks to big.

Royal Irish Hussar 1pt @ 16/1

* too

This is the one race I never have an AP bet on. Best of them normally show up very late.

Agree to some extent. Wasn't true with Far West though who'd have been the winner had it not been for something special in Our Connor.
Report Howdi November 16, 2013 10:51 PM GMT
but he wasn't the winner glossy Plain
Report Glossy November 16, 2013 10:58 PM GMT
Never said he was. Definitely amongst the 'best of them' though.

6 of the last 10 winners made their hurdling debut before the turn of the year.

Countrywide Flame started in July!

NJH seems to be plotting a path similar to Katchit's (one of the best recent winners). Both started off at Market Rasen in September and took in the listed race at Wetherby, before winning the Ryman (Katchit had an extra outing at Chepstow).

My selection entered in a hot Newbury race on Friday.
Report Stevie Gerrard November 28, 2013 4:30 PM GMT
Looks a really good race at Newbury tomorrow,
Baradari was Listed class on the flat and is a half brother to Barizan who proved a better hurdler than flat horse.
The dam of Chocola is a half sister to Overturn and Fisher Bridge, and Chocola was a decent handicapper on the flat.
Calipto was runner up in a listed hurdle last time in France and could be very useful.
and Henderson has a half brother to Daylami in there.

looking forward to this race.
GL with the Baradari triumph bet Ten2

Thanks Stevie.

Sadly I'm due in an important meeting scheduled to finish at 1pm.  Sad

Disappointed here.
But not gutted.  Ran promisingly.
Not written off yet. Laugh
Report Ibrahima Sonko November 29, 2013 6:59 PM GMT
even thou it will improve, 235k is looking expensive for a listed place horse.
Report CheltenhamRoar November 29, 2013 8:20 PM GMT
Fred Winter still a viable options after another couple of runs down the field Shocked
Report Stevie Gerrard November 30, 2013 10:15 AM GMT
Wouldn't surprise me if Venetia's one improved a good deal on that so still hope yet. At this stage though I'm with Mystic Wind on Royal Irish Hussar, I have given both his races at Wetherby and Cheltenham very good figures and he is well above average imo.
Report Stevie Gerrard December 14, 2013 2:12 PM GMT
Royal Irish very disappointing today. Can't see him winning a Triumph after that. The 1st 2 were very promising though, both could be decent.
Report SOULDANCER December 15, 2013 7:02 AM GMT
Thomas Hobson took 24.0, happy with that.
Looked an improver on the flat, impressed with his last run, more to come.
Report TEN2FOLLOWER December 21, 2013 8:17 AM GMT
Mine is running tomorrow.
Then I will know what's what.  Mischief
Report TEN2FOLLOWER December 27, 2013 6:11 PM GMT
And running tomorrow instead now.
Report Ibrahima Sonko December 27, 2013 8:36 PM GMT
After it ran in the best juvenile this season i expect him to improve a lot tomorrow.

I expect him to win easily btw.
Report deepingfox December 27, 2013 9:57 PM GMT
Not convinced that England has a top class Juvenile Hurdler yet, but there was a lot to like about PLINTH today at Leopardstown in the McCoy/McManus kit after running to a 95-handicap rating for Mrs Aidan O'Brien on the flat this year.

Excellent pace to get up in bad ground, and 2nd time out already earmarking the Grade 1 in Leopardstown that Our Conor won last year as his Festival prep.

Tempted to take the 25' tonight, I remember taking a similar price on Our Conor this time last year after watching the Cheltenham trials races and not thinking much of the form - it feels like deja vu, notwithstanding that PINGH has more to prove, than OC at this stage, but I was very impressed he twice found a turn of foot from rear to lead, and then to kick again after the last.

Mine just got a mention from the jockey for Cheltenham on the Morning Line.
He didn't say which race though.
Report TEN2FOLLOWER February 10, 2014 5:32 PM GMT
Beaten last week so a little disappointed here.

Hopeful he will line up as a lively outsider.  Happy
Report stormey1 February 10, 2014 5:39 PM GMT
Im a fan of the horse and last weeks race was a bit of a farce, just wonder if he will end up in the Fred Winter?
I think held up off a strong gallop will show the horse to maximum effect.
Prob all depends what mark he gets.
Report DMCK February 12, 2014 6:05 PM GMT
All Pepper is doing the rumour mill, but he'd need to run within the next 15days to go to the festival.
