maybe they should have gone for the champion hurdle after all :)

Ted Walsh got it spot on - he's by Desert Prince and was never going to outbattle something decent up the hill.

is it me or did Robbie Power always have Jezki a couple of lengths off were he needed to be, along with going wide at last....poor ride i thought.

load of bollocks imo, he was racing keen off a furious gallop early on, he needs to learn to drop the bridle and save some. Wins next years Champion.

He looks all class, just hope he's not a bridle horse,You need a battler to win a CH.

he won 2 grade ones in Ireland and settled well. Im not one to point the finger at jockeys too much, and Robbie Power is a fine rider, but, i stand by Jezki has more potential next year than the two horses who finished ahead of him.

I wouldnt say he is a bridle horse, ap rode him terribly or by hype, he came their to win his but mccoy decided he wanted to sprint away from the last and before the last he eased him into, if you have good horse at cheltenham win it between the last 2 and lose it on the run in.

ps i didnt bet the fav

I actually think he's worth every bit of his rating but paradoxically he's still got a hole in him.

I know it sounds daft but I think he may well have won the CH in yesterdays race because he has got an incredibly high cruising speed he would have travelled off the pace ROR set comfortably but wouldn't have been facing a horse with something left like CF had .

HF stayed on past 3 knackered horses yesterday and ran 3 secs slower than the supreme front 2 did, MTOY's will stay on the bridal off a suicidal pace, that's the type of race he needs, off a pace with more sensible fractions he'll not beat a horse who has a battle in him when he himself comes off the bridal.

In next years CH I'd want a pacemaker in there for him setting mad fractions to kill the rest of them off so there's nothing left with any fight left in them come the end.

Spot on Duffy, Ruby knew slowing the pace down after the 3rd would set mtoy alight and it did, he used to much energy being to keen and it told jumping the last. Think if Mccoy could ride the race again he'd of let tent go on 3 out and put the race to bed before the last, you just knew jumping the last CF wasn't going to be passed he's a 2 and a half miler. Gutting as I'd be sitting on a 100/1 voucher for the Champion, ah well...

it will piss up at aintree at odds on and all roads to next years CH  imo

Always going to vulnerable up the hill.

Binocular (similar type) took 3 goes to win at Cheltenham, and I feel MOTD may be placed in the CH next year before perhaps winning it in 2015. Depends what come through the novice ranks next year - Regal Encore would be my early fav for the 2014 Supreme.
