I have one e/w double I am delighted with: Zarkandar (CH) at 14/1 and Boston Bob (RSA) at 10/1.
Also an e/w trixie Boston Bob 8's, Une Artiste 8's and Dodging Bullets 14's. |

Placed it mid-November and wanted to maximise what funds I could put on the Cheltenham treble, so put in Sizing Europe to win the Clonmel Chase that day at 1/5 and Hurricane Fly to win the Morgiana that weekend at 8/13.
Won a fortune at the Festival in 2003 with a December treble on Azertyuiop (6/1), Baracouda (6/4 - error) and Best Mate (3/1) which is still my biggest win by a mile but this would more than double it. Have to say it is looking fairly feasible at the moment, but do worry that Quevega could run flat. |

Simonsig i'd be more concerned about out of the 3 tbh but we all see it differently!

Brilliant mate, well done. Will be cheering it on for you!
Have to say Quevega would be my worry too. Dont think she's come across anything as good as Une Artiste in recent renewals, and on a line through Alasi, she wont have to improve much to be bang there. |

Cheers CCM and Alleged. If I am still in by the end of Tuesday I will really fancy it. Just need everything to fall right, but that's far from guaranteed.

CCM - hope your ew double lands as they are my biggest ante post bets but in singles ew zarkandar @ 6/1 and boston bob at 13/2,
as for quevega ("dont think shes come across anything as good as une artiste")i don't think your giving Voler La Vadette enough credit for last years world hurdle under a fine ride by Lynch when Une art' was winning a handicap off 10'8. I think Quevega is bomb proof and imo unaccompanied would have been the only danger to the mare but now its a one horse race! |

I laid 3/1 for SS in the queen mother on ankle day last year. Got that 1 wrong for £12 but Big Bucks has covered that mistake good luck all looking forward to the best week of the year win or lose at least they are trying this week lol

Roger - best of luck with that bet...I have to admit I'd have laid the balls of Simonsig & Quevega at that stage at those prices, though even at levels, Sprinter Sacre has always scared the pants off me!
PS - I can't believe Mr.Eboue has escaped serious flak for his post and I can only assume we're unanimous in thinking he had a long inhalation of his bong just before he posted that! It'd be nice if it was true so I hope for your sake Mr.Eboue you're not pulling our pissers, and the very best of luck if you really ARE ON at those prices I sincerely would like to see them all win as I'm not involved in those races (except for a £400 free bet on Finian's Rainbow which mightn't even line up) and I like to see real champions win...it'd ruin the entire Festival if Sprinter Sacre didn't do the business in style."I backed Simonsig to win the Arkle 3 years ago after seeing him win a point to point. I got 500/1. I've got 100/1 on Bobs worth in the gold cup. I backed him after he won the Albert Bartlett. I also have 66/1 on Sprinter Sacre to win the QMCC" You have to admit Mr.E...that's worthy of a chuckle or several from ANYONE! ![]() |
