Imagine a difficult one as has never ridden Jezki in a race. Got it wrong in 2008.

As JP bought MTOY on his recommendation, it will be a complete no brainer for AP, does n't necessarily mean he'll be on the right one of course but would think his loyalties are pretty much cut and dried in this case.

Rease is spot on. I'd imagine the decision has already been made.
Report duffy February 18, 2013 2:48 PM GMT
I'd have thought that MTOY's is a certainty to be ridden by him.

Surprised this has even been asked - certain to ride My Tent Or Yours. Barry Geraghty will surely be on River Maigue or Chatterbox which will mean Robbie Power will keep the ride on Jezki.

I imagine that MTOY is one of the rides that AP is looking forward to most.

Rease - On who's recommendation did JP buy Jezki? Could it also have been AP after Waaheb got trounced over Christmas?
The next question is: "Why buy Jezki when you already know you have a tool over with NJH?"

Always room for more than one good horse, Willie. It's not all about the Supreme. And Jezki is trained in Ireland, MTOY over here, so he could have a horse for each of the top races, in theory.

Could have been Willie but I have n't heard AP say that - I heard both him and Hendo say he'd recommended the purchase of MTOY after the Betfair Hurdle on the basis of a schooling session in the autumn. JP might have used the evidence of his own eyes on the Jezki purchase, think mot of us spotted that one.

Do you know if AP's schooled Jezki or even sat on him?

I don't know the answer to the second question either. Meglomania? One is a long term chasing propect, the other is seen as a potential Champion Hurdle horse? That's the way it panned out when he had Binocular and CCB for the Supreme.

You might know more than I do in which case eel ree to share. Wink

Unfortunately I aint privvy to that sort of infoSad
I just think we are all going overboard about one race, albeit visually impressive, does it merit to be 7-4 for the Supreme, on what will likely be a faster run race on faster going?
Report ReaseHeath February 18, 2013 9:07 PM GMT
I did say in my original post that he would not necessarily be choosing the right one! Just think all the circumtantial evidence points towards him choosing MTOY. I do think MTOY is on the short side now also.

I like Jezki, better price if Muckoy not on it ta v much
Report harry callaghan February 18, 2013 9:33 PM GMT
rease i think jp likes the family as had the ill fated jenari jezki's brother and also had the half brother jered whom was also decent... but the breeder/owner always believed jezki to be the best of the progeny...
Report ReaseHeath February 18, 2013 9:40 PM GMT
interesting.....thanks, harry

One word of caution: on the RP video, Henderson is emphatic that MTOY goes for the Supreme, and says so more than once.

But then adds, almost as an afterthought: "I defer [refer?] to JP but I've heard nothing else anyway".
