Totally agree, which makes you wonder if he really is a star. Maybe he's just showing them all at home that he is a beast because his bare form makes the price look ridiculous. I'd say it'd be rare for one to stay so short and still have people queueing up to back it when most think the price is too short. Suggests to me that stable money might be involved...

In my opinion, ( I may be completely wrong and he could be the next Istabraq ) but no way on earth should he be shorter than Rock on Ruby or Grandouet.
I'd have him a 8/1 shot.
I dont often lay a horse but I have done here.

I doubt it would be owner money at this stage. These punts tend to come on the day when the lays are there. I just think it's a few small ante post wagers by people who for some reason think the current price is worth taking. I wouldn't even be suprised if Darlan didn't even place. In his last 4 races he has won 3 crawls, and lost fairly the only race that wasn't very slow. Yes he has come on, and there is still improvement, but if Cinders and Ashes didn't jump the last two hurdles like an elephant he would have pulled away further. The Christmas hurdle showed us what we already knew, that he can quicken off a crawl.

He's not for me either, more his jumping that worries me, I was at Chelt December meeting 2011 clouted nearly ever hurdle has since fallen. Did jump ok last time out so they might have sorted it but you dont see many CH winners make mistakes on the way round
