Why step up in trip, 2 miles looked ideal? Also looks good for a viable handicap mark in the County.
Report BJG • January 27, 2013 10:59 AM GMT
Agree, will b County surely

I hope the handicapper gets a hold of him
Report ReaseHeath • January 27, 2013 12:39 PM GMT
McCoy said afterwards that when he gave him a smack the horse did n't like it one bit (quel surprise!) and although he won 4 lengths it would have been 2.5 lengths if he'd hit him again - was n't overly enamoured with the horses attitude, most animated I've seen him in a post race interview for a while.

Probably an indication that they think a lot of the horses potential as was the fact that he got down to 10st 3lb for the last race of the day to ride him.

That after a power packed display on At Fishers Cross - bloke's a freak, don't know how he does it.

McCoy was animated because the money was landed. It was almost embarrassing to see a usually sour faced man ramble on like a drunk because they landed a couple.

Great point Graeme. I saw Mccoy in my local independent this morning. He had £20 on Mr Watson at 5/1.

Either that's a lie or you're making a serious allegation which you should raise with the BHA.
Report cufcno1 • January 27, 2013 3:03 PM GMT
mr eboue do you honestly think that a champion jockey would walk into a betting shop and back a horse, just think it will be suited by a step up in trip and good groud would bring out more improvement !
Report ReaseHeath • January 27, 2013 3:26 PM GMT
I think you'll find Mr E.'s is a tongue in cheek response to the previous post.
Report Graeme83 • January 27, 2013 3:39 PM GMT
Attempted tounge in cheek. I don't reccommend anyone taking Mr Eboues advice and trying to get 20 quid on a race that was run the day before.  Blush

I think the idea is that AP was collecting his winnings Graeme - clearly not a concept you're familiar with Wink
Report Graeme83 • January 27, 2013 5:00 PM GMT
It certainly isn't Reaseheath. Bookie shops are for chavs, hill billys, and tough old woman who can fight like ****. I haven't set foot in one for years.Wink

i had the good fortune to go to Jackdaws and witness the beast trying to bite all and sundry
only the head lad rides it at home. He is a nutcase and how his nature with stand up to the very different atmosphere of the festival is a point to at least consider.
Clearly well thought of but an other point (and i know this isn't the motive for purchase) how can he possibly win his purchase price back?
Report duncan idaho • January 28, 2013 9:04 AM GMT
must admit stepping up in trip wouldnt be the first thing on my mind...i'll be looking elsewhere
Report cufcno1 • January 28, 2013 10:09 AM GMT
conditor, that stable are as good as any of beating the handicapper, probably got another stone up its sleave,i know its a hard race but stepped up in trip on good ground will bring alot more improvement !
