I have been going to them for around the last 10 years and never missed one apart from the Grand National when i was ill one year. Well my quandary is that i have yet to book for either of them and just talllied up the cost of it all including flights, accomodation, tickets and car hire and it comes to the best part of £1500. A part of me is telling me to stay at home and watch it in the relative quiet of my home without all the hassle involved in going to the races but can guarantee come the week of the festival i will be gutted to miss it all. What should i do ?

I normally book everything by around the September the year before. I could use the £1500 as my bank for Cheltenham which would probably be all the betting money that i would spend.

Can't beat a week off work watching it all unfold in the comfort of your own home lots of beer and lots of snacks with laptop at hand. Wish I could afford to go but the girlfriend would kill be and would rather spend the money on two weeks in Spain in the summer.
