Taxi is a silly idea.
Birmingham airport to the Birmingham int train station takes 30 seconds on a monorail... Then like laying says its ten mins to Birmingham New street. There's trains every 40 mins from Birmingham to Cheltenham. It takes about 45 mins. |

£33 each for train. Taxi return will cost ye £200.
Will save about a £5 each getting a train, but then you will probably need to get taxi from train station to your lodgings. Id just get a taxi which is what we are doing |

travel time is about the same in my experience by the way
|

By:
I suppose the taxi allows you to sit comfortably and not worry about missing trains etc.....

it depends how many of ye in the group. nine of us arriving friday afternoon also so a taxi/minibus was a no-brainer. if on your own or in a small group of 2 or 3 the train would be a no-brainer

Train is more like £20 each not £33.
Much cheaper by train and on a Friday afternoon probably quite a bit quicker too. |
|
By:

|
|
By:

You will be OK for off peak. I think it is anytime after 9.30am on weekdays and anytime at weekends so if you are coming back on Sunday you will be fine wth the £22 tickets.
