My horse to follow this season with CueCard couldn't get on today as stuck in traffic bollox.

Do you think it will run in the Paddy Power ??? Anything mentioned after the race?

On at 11/2 today also backed for Paddy Power but have now laid off, as will get big penalty for today mark blown. Trainer stated will think about it, but i doubt it won over 20 lenghts

Under consideration apparently. Will probably be close to weight after that (I imagine he'll go up to around 165).
Report strontium October 27, 2012 5:15 PM BST
*top weight

bit about for non stop on your most interesting  horse fred ,he is down to 10 /1  for the pp
Report Howdi October 27, 2012 5:20 PM BST
whoever got 33s for rynair got on the right end of a rick there as he could go into that race 2nd highest on official ratings. worth hovering around for ante post prices after the big racesw!!
Report duffy October 27, 2012 5:26 PM BST
todays performance was another "tatatiano" run at aintree a couple of years back or a "mon parrain" at sandown...too good to be true, won't see it again from him and has now missed his chance to win the PP  and will get beat by the other below top class horses when they are fit in the big races.Cry who are better than him.
Report Howdi October 27, 2012 5:28 PM BST
champion court connections surely tempted now.
Report duffy October 27, 2012 5:33 PM BST
cue card comfortably beat fns last year giving 7lb and is currently rated 157, now he will be receiving weight from fns in the PP and I would bet is "still" a better horse than fns...well done nick!!
Report festivalfanatic October 27, 2012 7:44 PM BST
Cue Card now looks a very well handicapped horse.

FNS was one of a number of admirable novice chase performers last season over 2 to 2 and a half miles. Given his form lines with Cue Card and Al Ferof, anyone who still doubts the monster's ability now should seriouslr reconsider.....oh and Sir Des Champs looks a half tidy horse too!
Report Howdi October 27, 2012 7:49 PM BST
agree ff...but how much has FNS improved during summer or did he has most of it under the bonnet last year.
Report Howdi October 27, 2012 7:52 PM BST
the formline of todays performance by FNS really ties in well with last years novices. Looking a season aND  A HALF. I can see Sprinter Sacre ending up with a high rating come April!!!
Report strontium October 27, 2012 7:55 PM BST
I agree Howdi. FNS did win a Grade 1 last season as well (and got very close in another). You'd expect a good novice to improve around a stone going in to his second season, so it all looks about right.
Report festivalfanatic October 27, 2012 7:56 PM BST
64000 dollar question mate.....though he jumped very well today and we probably have to credit Noel Fehily for that. I think Cue Card would have finished closer to SDC in the Jewson if he had run and there is no reason to think that Cue Card will have gone backwards. Tizzard yard on fire at the moment too.

This is what makes the Jumps so much better; the opinions, the longevity, and the Hope.

Would you think the King George is a possibility ?
Report strontium October 27, 2012 8:25 PM BST
good idea. He seems to like a flat track, he certainly wasn't stopping today, and Aintree and Kempton form translate quite well.
Report abbott October 27, 2012 8:27 PM BST
Flat track horse

Was running a tremendous race in the koral cup once, might just be a very good horse rather than just a flat track horse.
Report strontium October 27, 2012 8:34 PM BST
TBF he did run very well at Sandown (against Al Ferof), but his best performances have probably been at Aintree and Newbury - so Kempton might suit him too.
Report Ibrahima Sonko October 27, 2012 8:38 PM BST
Looking at his form, how did charlie mann get him beat 4 times.

Nick Williams is a top class trainer.

Very interesting for the Ryanair...especially if anyone snapped up 33/1, thats a huge price
Report tinkler October 28, 2012 3:17 PM GMT
Leaders went off very quick and some of the fancied horses didn't look like they ran their race. Over 2 1/2m on decent ground he
looks a decent animal but doubt he's much better than last year. If he run's on soft, especially over further I reckon a breathing
problem will come up.
Report Far From Trouble October 29, 2012 6:41 PM GMT
Be amazed if he comes close to repeating this Plain
Report unclepuncle October 30, 2012 2:56 PM GMT
I'd definitely aim him at the KG if he were mine.
Report shockster October 30, 2012 3:23 PM GMT
So would I Uncle. Gives them options win or lose.
Report spothediference January 14, 2013 5:38 PM GMT
was the ground simply to blame for his poor run lto? also would the ryanair be his target come march? any1 know? cheers.spot.
