Iv watched the re run of his rsa chase run more then a few times. He would have won if jumped slightly better of I'd quel esprit didn't impede him when falling.. I'm getting the felling his better then bare form. Ryanair is crying out for him giving course ground and distance. Think penny is dropping re his jumping. From right family too featherbed lane full brother who I thought was a shoe in for the rsa this season only for unfortunate circumsta

I agree that he does not want a slog over 3 but i fear what does for the horse is the hill - he travelled great in the dipper (admittedly hitting the ditch) before folding up the hill. For me wants a soft, flat track 3 outside top company or a 2m5 on a flat track outside top company.

I think there's a good few ponds improvement in him this year. Right year to catch him.

Seems to high to win a big hcap whatever the trip. Jumping is ok but not great and doesn't stay too well at anything 2m6f+ IF the race is trully run.

I think its best chance to pick up races however is in the 2m6f - 3m range in small fields where there could be a false pace. Its cruising speed and turn of foot in slowly run races against one paced stayers will always win him races but this horse is way short of top class.

Btw he wasn't gonna win the RSA which was a very poor one - the horse would have done what he did regardless of the interference and that is weaken. Sure he'd have finished closer but unplaced for sure.

Your spot on about him needing a small field racingguru.
