Anybody have any idea what distance this fella will be running over next season?

Was really impressed with his win at the back end of last season at punchestown (might not have beat much) but it was the manner of the win that

impressed me on his first run after a bad injury,Not 100% sure but i think the beginners chase in which he won may have been the same race

Sizing Europe won on his chasing bow (2m 4f)

i'd assume if all goes well,Connections will aim him for the Arkle or the Ryanair,Whatever connections decide he's one to keep an eye of next season.

Really like this horse.

2 MILES NAP IN THE ARKLE BETTING SO HIS WIN WAS LATE IN THE SEASON.
Report tweedledumbtweedletwat August 7, 2012 9:07 PM BST
your correct sizing europe won the same race.arvika jumped superbly and will fully test the henderson entries..either way at 20s hes a great trade.
Report CheltenhamRoar August 10, 2012 2:24 PM BST
agreed tweedle, looking forward to seeing him in action this coming season.

I have a feeling Avrika could end up in the Jewson, not the same prestige but the trip will suit better imo.
Report bluebirdfan August 15, 2012 9:55 AM BST
Probably the value at the moment, will be shorter if he makes the race. Simonsig is taking a lot out of the market presently but its hard to see what else can win it
Report R Carver August 21, 2012 7:45 PM BST
I'll never forget how Arvika travelled in the Albert Bartlett before stopping dead.

I suspect it will all depend on jumping and there will be many Arkle players - AL has jumped well under rules, Simonsig has won a couple of points (and fallen). Simonsig is the best novice I have seen in aeons so if he can jump he would surely be irresistable but as we know novice hurdle form does not necesarilly translate (though both of these horses looks built for a fence).
Report tweedledumbtweedletwat August 26, 2012 9:22 PM BST
lots of potential players....even if u just look at hendos
simonsig, bino, oscar whisky, grandeuot, all would at this stage take good money for the arkle.Thats without stepping down to look at the other novice hurdlers he ran last season,2of which could be very intresting

Goes for the Drinmore this weekend over 2m4f. Looks like connection are putting the feelers out for a crack at the RSA
Report stevo1 November 27, 2012 5:20 PM GMT
Or Jewson
Report stevo1 November 27, 2012 5:20 PM GMT
Was 16s with Hills to win any race at Festival gone now.
Report Mr Mischief November 27, 2012 5:26 PM GMT
Forgot about JewsonBlush, could well take the SDC route with this one
Report johntucker November 27, 2012 5:41 PM GMT
Possibly Jewson as Boston Bob is with Mullins also.
Report Can't Catch Me November 27, 2012 6:20 PM GMT
Not sure that will that matter much John as Mullins will almost certainly have at least a couple in each of the novice races. Be more a case of what Ricky Ricci has when he assembles his team.
Report CheltenhamRoar November 27, 2012 10:37 PM GMT
Wouldn't be at all surprised were he to run in the Arkle.
Report The_LUFCwaffe November 27, 2012 11:27 PM GMT
Looks a strapping fellow. Mullins made the mistake of running this one in the AB a couple of years ago....not the only decent trainer to do so with a 5yo in that race. Certainly used to have the speed over 2 miles but I'd fancy him to come to his own tis season in the Jewson.
Report tweedledumbtweedletwat November 30, 2012 9:26 PM GMT
this horse i believe would be competative in any of the3 nov chases at chelt.
guess we may know more if it runs this weekend, idlove to see it cruising in just off the pace in an arkle then stride away up the hill.

very good performance but dont know if he is an Arkle horse. if he tries that at cheltenham he'll have overturn to woory about for front running duties.
Report tweedledumbtweedletwat December 2, 2012 3:20 PM GMT
overturn is a 2miler and if he tried to match arvika he,d have nowt left up the hill.
a
Arvika would have plenty left and stay on up the hill to win imo.
Conan is too slow,as is hinterland, oscars well has hit the deck but may yet prove to be a a danger.
Over to simonsig now but its my opinion that arvikas the one to beat in the arkle.
Report Firstnamewinnerlastname December 2, 2012 3:32 PM GMT
oh Arvika Love
Report Brooksielad December 2, 2012 3:49 PM GMT
Staying Article or Oscars Well wins the Arkle. last years novice hurdlers over 2 mile and 2 and a half were simply awful.
Report CheltenhamRoar December 2, 2012 4:25 PM GMT
He'll run in the Arkle,No doubt about it,and it will take something special to beat him,

Doesn't need to lead either.
Report Howdi December 2, 2012 4:31 PM GMT

where to start... Fingal Bay is a dog, The horses running in behind at aintree have shown nothing this season, the Neptune was a very weak race, felix younger destroyed by Dedigitout, Monksland beat by Zaidpour this season, Zaidpour has already proven he's well below top class. Ok you'll say he won well but tbh think my pet lhasa apso could of beat some of them lining up in the Neptune last season.
Report giggsy3444 December 4, 2012 10:09 AM GMT
i agree that the horses he beat last season were not top class and that they have not exactly set the world alight this season so far. it's just the way Henderson talks about him when asked. i get the feeling hat Hendo thinks his horse is special and he is very rarely wrong.
Report maelduin December 4, 2012 4:14 PM GMT
"i agree that the horses he beat last season were not top class"

It was not the competition he beat, but the manner in which he won his races. Winning any Grade 1 race in Cheltenham the way he did, you can not but be impressed. Some posters really talk nonsense on these forums.
Report Brooksielad December 4, 2012 5:04 PM GMT
