Just like Grands Crus, Peddlers Cross & Captain Chris (who ALL have failed to make the frame) connections have farted ante-post punters about something ruthless, costing I'm sure many people a bit of a wedge!
I didn't have an interest with Peddlers Cross or in Boston Bob but the other two have bummed me in spades!
I know this is extreme schadenfreude, but I figure it's payback time for fcuking around so much with well backed punts, though obviously the winners as usual are the bookies, as the layers on here surely must have covered their tracks.
My own problem has been 'gambling' with the huge potential winnings and not laying off, and I have a real gripe about this, especially when Gold Cup potential profits run into thousands
I'm a layer, and I'm still furious about this...at least I've progressed from being a mug AP backer, but it's still cost me more than a few quid At least I got away with my lays of Grands Crus in the RSA, but that's not really the point.
This apparent 'glasnost' is a fcukin' smokescreen and they're ALL in bed with the bookies...just like the 'insiders' on Betfair's payroll!
They let us know what they want us to know, and you AP backers need a boot in the sac to wake up to this
JR - the lesson is DON'T BE A BACKER! You must keep your trading options open, as I did with Grands Crus & Captain Chris, and though ultimately they cost me nothing, their participation would have guaranteed me a few hundred quid, and I'm very bitter about that!
I expected at least one of them to make the line up.
The people who've BACKED these non-runners have been bummed as I see it!

any serious antepost backer would make damm sure that the horse they were punting was sure to run in that race. no sympathy for guessers, its there own fault if they lose

whatever lessons are learnt will only be valuable if they are heeded - it's up to us all to find out what we can do to improve and everyone will do that differently

TFM - that's a ruthless outlook buddy...very much like a bookie!
I have a lot of sympathy for the backers of Peddlers Cross & Boston Bob, as their targets were virtually assured!
It's neither here nor there that neither would have got a look in, as the races were both in were won in hugely impressive style, but we'll never really know, and the opportunity to trade out was ransacked from them as I see it!
At least the ones that buggered me were always 'up in the air' and their backers (Grands Crus & Captain Chris) were taking a risk.
You state the words 'serious ante-post backer' so where do you draw the line with your AP bets? I would have thought after all noises & hype from the stable, that Peddlers Cross was 99% certain to take on Sprinter Sacre
How can you NOT be sympathetic to its backers?
