Really fancy this one to run a big race tomorrow and genuinely think 40/1 is an absolute steal. The horse won very impressively over course & distance on the New Year's Day meet and is only 5lb higher tomorrow. Plenty of excuses for the disappointing run last time on a bog at Haydock.

Horse is sure to like the quicker ground and is from an in-form stable.

I'm aware of the poor record of 5 year olds in this race but I think this one has a better engine than most. It's also one of those stats that is a little misleading as you don't generally get many 5 year olds in this though Son Amix managed 2nd last year.

Certainly worth a few quid e/w at the silly 40/1 on offer with Sid James.

I also like him and he's also still 5lbs lower than he started the season. But I have also had each ways on Barwell Bridge and Thehillofuisneach. Still looking for my first winner this week so sorry about Jinxing him!!

I thought this horse liked it softer the better.  Has some course form though which is a positive

Will Kayf Aramis not be looking to reverse form getting half a bag of sugar?
Report Senor El Betrutti March 14, 2012 11:01 PM GMT
Andy I think people thought he wanted soft over 2 miles where actually he needed 3 miles. BTW they are closely weighted but i personally don't trust Kayf Aramis and he's 10 where Houblon is 5 and there is a chance he could improve.

Can't really see a 1lb swing making a difference. This horse is an improver whilst it's probably fair to say that we're not likely to see much improvement at this stage from KA.

andy85 - I think it probably would like a little more cut in the ground but has won on Good to Soft and I haven't got too many concerns over the ground. I think they're watering like maniacs as we speak.

It's a 40/1 shot, there will be holes in its profile but I really like its chances and it shouldn't shouldn't be that big a price.

Certainly got a chance then.  Hope he runs well for you.  I've picked 3 double figure horses in this race its that hard to pick.  If it wasn't Cheltenham I would be giving it a swerve

Cheers andy. Good luck for tomorrow.

Ran hell of a race, still staying on to come 4th.

Delighted.

Great call. Also thought he needed soft ground however if it had have been you would probably had the win as well
Stayed on powerfully up the hill.

Good pick. The ground looks on the softer side to me. Jockeys splattered with mud at the end. A lot softer than it was yesterday.
