be interesting to see what tactics he employs on boston bob who I'm sure he would like to ride as a deep hold up horse

that might hand it to brindisi breeze who likes to front run

to be fair,i dont think BB had the gears to go that gallop up front,he was always being pushed a bit on and off from the start

Wish I'd seen your comments before backing Boston...

deep hold up horses have been at a disadvantage all week, I will probably print off the race results and in running comments then watch all the replays and make notes to see what happened

certainly first two days were like that

Well, I thought he gave BB a great ride. Couldn't lay up on the ground.....soft ground staying chaser with no gears.

soft ground chaser?really?people were saying wpm was mad not to go for the neptune?he said all week that the ground suited him?.the fact te horse started 10l behind the winner and never tried to get nearer til 3f out?..im not convinced

I cant see how anyone can say he gave BB a good ride. Regardless of pocket talkinf it was terrible. Why ride Big Bucks one way and this the complete opposite? The ride he gave BB was perfect and excatly what he should have done here imo.

The horse was just too far back.... in a race that was all about stamina, not gear chnages. I havent seen the re-run yet, but thought he got involved in a bit of scrimmaging and the hustle and bustle of the big field, whilst the leader was completely unaffected. As pointed out by a few, it was so obvious that those near the front were at an advantage all week.

The only "evidence" that there was a pace bias on the first two days is that Hurricane Fly lost. The Supreme was run at a slow pace so it was likely that the leaders would be favoured, although Darlan still finished 2nd having raced in rear; 3 of the first 4 in the Mares Hurdle came from miles back as did Une Artiste and Alfie Sherrin; and the form horses won the Neptune, Arkle, 4-miler, RSA (if you assume Grands Crus didn't stay or had an off day) and Champion Chase.

More likely Hurricane Fly had an off day, didn't like the ground, or is past his best than that being held up cost him the race.

i seen the last 2 fur on the inside camera from c4.it makes for very intresting viewing.if he pushed bb into the last and jumped it he wins, simple.some are saying he made a mistake at the last?he didnt he jumped it slow because he was slowing from 8 yards before it.race was over then.it puzzles me greatly.and i lost no money on the race so im not pocket talking.
