Has anyone questioned it? Looked good at the time, but was it as deep as it first appeared. PC hasn't done much since (admittedly over fences, too slow for a tilt at the Arkle), Oscar Whisky won a couple of very soft races but not considered quick enough to try CH again, 1000 Stars is not in the top bracket. PC was only rated 162 until the CH perhaps that is as good as he is...
er yeah i questioneed it a few times hurricane fly may well win but some seem to think its a formality , but imo he may have beaten a few horses who are better over further and at the odds i would rather back a few each way against him

I suspect he's run to about 167, his mark at the time. A repeat may well be good enough once again. I think he's a bit short tho, Leop was visually impressive but deep deep going and Unaccompanied patently failing to run to form.

It's just about whether anything is good enough to take advantage, HF looks a bit skinny tho. I'd rather play Binocular at a much bigger price.

I've been questioning it for weeks as Formman and CV Byrne will attest
Same basis; PC 162 horse, couple of stayers in 3rd and 4th. Slow time and won all out.
Only minor disagreement is on Thousand Stars who is top bracket but over an extra mile (French Champion Hurdle winner)!

Khyber Kim rated 165,3lbs higher than PC in 2011, showed he was still running to that by winning at Aintree after the CH. Binocular beat him by 3.5L "in command last, ran on well", also the time was fast.

dont you go upsetting cv b thieves he does not like being challenged
but i will agree with you about TS being a proper 2m4-3m horse
think OW has a lot more speed tho, 2m-2m4 his best
think its a weaker race this year imo,ROR,OW,Zaidpour and Zak are all stayers for me,or will prove to be,Bino and the others aint upto it

This years race played out just like 2009 when Punjabi won - that year Punjabi and Celeastial Halo were bang there all the way, this year it was Rock On Ruby and Overturn - on this faster ground you just can't hold your horse up in last place like HF and Binocular today.

The point of the thread proved imo, HF was too short. Even if they were out of their ground, Binocular would have finished upsides HF if he hadn't tried to take the last hurdle with him.
