all the manure all year and still the trainers cannot come out publicly and say what there horses targets are...

wouldn't happen in other sports...racing is a joke in this regard

as punters - we have to look at the betting, because the top trainers of our sport don't want to let the public know...

examples bostons bob big drift in neptune but hammered for albert bartlett

grands crus now over 18 for gold cup but money for RSA

don't mean to moan but with just 3 days to go, not knowing horses targets is a joke

the game needs to buck its ideas up...a joke imo

anyone else sick of this constant merry go round?? or is it ok to carry on how a lot of top trainers are??

morning harry,
i can see a case for both sides mate, trainers want to do right by their owners and sometimes it may mean waiting  till last possible moment to see other decs,eg Grand crus may be waiting on Kauto.
Boston Bob waiting for ground?
Not always cut and dried, especially with the greater choice of races nowadays like Ryanair,Albert Bartlett,Jewson etc.
Agree though,bl00dy frustrating for us at times.

for a sport that is struggling to bring in new followers things like this do nothing to encourage support - very short term thinking on some trainers behalfs for me with only Alan King coming out with any credit from the big guns lately

morning budd...

well personally when I have to look at a betting market to decide whether he is a runner or not its pretty sad imo...

we aren't 3 weeks from the races we are days...yes agree keep options open but at least say what your preferred race is...

its a joke - have followed racing for over 20 years and never known it to be so bad that I have to look at a betting exchange to see whether the horse i have backed is a runner or not...

we are NRNB as well so not harming anyone to just say...

in your example on bostons why isn't a top trainer like him just saying about the ground trip and other concerns...

but no we need to look on betfair...

racing is a laughing stock in professional sport imo

run by an organisation that hasn't got a clue either...thats another matter though

yes am used to it...thats why i'm moaning...

david pipe on the telly...horse is flying and all year they thought about gold cup and unless a horse is injured we aren't going for a race...what a load of tosh...

But when they are positive about a horse going for a particular race when they have options (which is what you want) they get castigated if they change their mind ie P Cross. It's no wonder they don't wanna say "well we if the ground is this we'll run in race A" because when they go for race B the punters all blame the trainer.

how do you read the markets,on any normal day this forum would be accusing the connections of sed horses off ramping up the odds of grand cru , boston bob,etc for gold cup, neptune etc,so why in this case do we assume the opposite
