do any of you good people know when the BHA publish their ratings for the bumper for balloting purposes (including those for the Irish horses)? do they wait and see how many are declared then apply the ratings to see who gets in, or are they published in advance - if the latter can't fine the ruddy things anywhere.
Bumper ratings are never published and indeed don't exist normally. The handicapper only gives ratings for the Championship races and they are only for elimination purposes.
With only 25 declared for the Bumper, of which 24 can run, they may not bother this year. But if they do the ratings will be available on the entries page on the admin website later today.
I'll try to publish them here when that happens.

The horse that would be eliminated if all 25 were declared is Glenwood Present, rated 104.
The top four in the ratings are:
Moscow Mannon 137 Champagne Fever 136 Clonbanan Lad 134 Sir Johnson 132
then a gap to the next highest, with three horses rated 127.

As a lifelong Spurs fan, I reckon I'd be perfect for Chelsea. I'd use a sort of reverse Harry Redknapp approach.
Put my arm round Torres shoulder (he'd have to bend down a bit) and tell him "Look son, you're total rubbish and getting worse by the week, so just go out and run around a bit, try your best and see if you can score more goals than my Sandra"
