There is a reasonable Chinese (The Great Wall) and one or two Indians which are not too bad.
If it is late night "activity" you are after then you may struggle and if you seek those of the opposite gender (assuming you are a bloke) then most of them will be locked-in doing their homework by the time you get back from the racing.
There are a couple of decent restaurants at the cross and the Nottingham pub is ok (bar staff are the only probable chance you have of seeing a woman over the age of 16.
You could be in worse places (Gloucester springs to mind) - enjoy.

A long time ago to be fair, but from what I've heard it hasn't improved.
There's only two main streets and no hidden action really so what you see is what you get - walk along until somewhere takes your fancy. Agree as above though you won't find much in the way of decent girl action.
That said if you want a break from the busyness of Cheltenham it will be pleasant enough and you can always stay out in Cheltenham and get a taxi back - it's only 12 miles
