This is my first big bet of the meeting. Mostly 3/1 sj 7/2 today NRNB of course.
Connections wont hear of it being beaten either race so likely to be backed.
Has beaten all the main irish contenders comfortably and mount benbullen is second favourite.
If he goes for this can't see him being much bigger than 6/4, thoughts?

generally 5/2 in the neptune with much classier rivals, I just can't see why so big in thi
Report CVByrne March 5, 2012 1:31 PM GMT
Goes off 7/4 I'd say
Report Ballydoyle March 5, 2012 1:36 PM GMT
About 7-4 and should be going 3 mile route leaving Neptune to Sous Les Cieux.
Report Can't Catch Me March 5, 2012 1:46 PM GMT
Topped my bet on this at 7/2.

Agree he'll be 2/1 or less
Report Ballydoyle March 5, 2012 1:51 PM GMT
Think he's overhyped personally. Good horse and I've had a few quid on both races nrnb but if he was 7-4 I would burst out laughing.

If he was 7/4 I'd burst out laying!

looks a typical neptune and stats wise fits the bill, trial, trainer, age etc.

his weight carrying performance in his last race was brilliant and hes as tough as nails, thats what u have to be, not winning races on the bridle like simonsig.

boston bob is standout here imo.
Report Can't Catch Me March 5, 2012 2:41 PM GMT
7/4 wouldnt be a daft price in the AB imo. The second fav is a horse he's already beaten comfortably enough, and there isnt alot else in the race.
Report Ballydoyle March 5, 2012 2:53 PM GMT
He doesn't fit the age stats for Neptune at all. 7 years olds and upwards struggled in this over past 30 years. Only French Holly won in that time I believe?

Perfect for AB
Report CVByrne March 5, 2012 3:57 PM GMT
He'll run in the AB
Report Just So March 5, 2012 4:04 PM GMT
CVB - would suit me better if he did but how / why are you so sure?
Report monksland March 5, 2012 4:19 PM GMT
I think he'll run in AB also. Thinking of having a big E/W bet on monksland at 7's with powers. If BB runs in the ab monksland could start short when the field cuts up, maybe lay back the win part.

Mullins has 3 in the top 6 of the betting for neptune and its 25's bar those. assuming they wont all run the others prices will contract big time.

Report Martin pipe returns March 5, 2012 4:34 PM GMT
Hope it goes for the Neptune and think it will. If it went here then 2-1.
Report buddeliea March 5, 2012 5:15 PM GMT
cv,you told the trainer yet?Laugh
Report harry callaghan March 5, 2012 5:49 PM GMT
I'd say he would be around 13-8 come the off and a really worthy favourite...with others having to find, upwards of 7-8lbs imo...probably going to go to neptune but for me would be a penalty kick in the Albert Bartlett...but mullins has already thrown one spanner in the works with Sir des champs...so who knows.
Report monksland March 6, 2012 4:07 PM GMT
5/2 best odds NRNB now
Report Tucho March 6, 2012 5:16 PM GMT
was everybody backing boston bob at 9/2 with hills last night or something?

he's into 3/1 with them now, but they are still antepost on the race (haven't gone nrnb yet!) so there must have been a lot of people backing him last night thinking 9/2 was massive, even without a money back concession
Report BJG March 6, 2012 5:21 PM GMT
Ruby said no decision has been made
Report Can't Catch Me March 6, 2012 8:54 PM GMT
i was tucho Grin

Thought the extra point was worth the risk even though they werent NRNB.

If the markets on here are to be believed, and they have been bang on with Peddlers. Boston Bob goes for the Albert Bartlett, no doubt......would make sense with Mullins having Sous L C for the Neptune.....expect the price to continue to come in with him
Report monksland March 12, 2012 9:46 PM GMT
Will he get any shorter do ye think? 7/4 best price now
Report The Sweaty Sock March 12, 2012 10:04 PM GMT
Wouldn't surprise me to see him go off at 6/4.
Report JayTrumpOldTomDubbl March 12, 2012 10:16 PM GMT
I see Bob going off 5/4 or 11/8, certainly wont be 7/4 unless a leg falls off, Will Mull says the better ground will suit so ........be on
Report festivalfanatic March 12, 2012 10:35 PM GMT
Lay down. 7/4 is a big price.
