Decided on a whim as I am working nights to go on a W Hill cruise today, making the Hurricane my KO uppercut of the meeting..... either way Plain.

If he goes evens or better on the day (I expect he will) I will go in again.
Report lucylucky March 5, 2012 12:51 PM GMT
£225 so far online with multiple accounts, hopefully £2k if i can get some liquidity this week.
Report CVByrne March 5, 2012 12:57 PM GMT
He's closing the offer now shortly he said on twitter. avg stake was £50 per account.
Report silvercoat March 5, 2012 12:59 PM GMT
Just got £100 on in my local. I got the impression that he would've taken as much as I asked for. No problem.
Report BornToWin March 5, 2012 1:00 PM GMT
Fair play to them whatever their reasons, he is an odds on shot I think that is clear. They could help the environment by letting you get more on per shop tho Laugh
Report BornToWin March 5, 2012 1:02 PM GMT
I doubt that Silvercoat, I attempted that at my first stop and saw the message on screen. Think it said you could have the balance at 4/5 which was best price elsewhere.
Report upton March 5, 2012 1:34 PM GMT
Asked for £200 GOT £33 balance I could have @4/5 if I wished.
Report BraveIncaisBest March 5, 2012 1:37 PM GMT
Tried to have a monkey ... they offered me a score at 5/4 and the other 480 at 4/5. Pretty poor, at least they could have gone 100 5/4 and 400 4/5
Report 2rivets March 5, 2012 1:47 PM GMT
wanted £200 told i could have £20 at 5-4 rest at 4-5

I got £100 on no problem at the shop, I presume it's just pot look with each cashier. (they checked the screen but couldn't see any maximum bet restrictions.)
Report silvercoat March 5, 2012 2:07 PM GMT
There doesn't seem to be any consistency in the WH offices does there?Plain
Report Cheltenham-Hill March 5, 2012 2:44 PM GMT
£100 online and £100 in shops. When I walked up to the cashier he simply asked, "Hurricane Fly?"
Report moneypenny March 5, 2012 3:27 PM GMT
5/4 will be freely available next tuesday imho
maybe even 6/4 when the madness starts next monday evening
Report BJG March 5, 2012 3:30 PM GMT

Report cats-eyes March 5, 2012 3:31 PM GMT
BIG Thank you done 4 shop's 100each no-prob and my mate put on 2x doubles for me, with sprinter lovely jubbley, happy with that
Report moneypenny March 5, 2012 3:39 PM GMT
Dont think he will go off odds against bjg, im just making the point that others will do the same next monday evening/tuesday morning when you will have on the day concessions such as double result/ guaranteed prices on your side
Report SEATHESTARS....NO1 March 5, 2012 3:56 PM GMT
I agree with moneypenny, this all shapes up to be the start of another pricing war with the big firms mainly hills, lads with B365 doing their usual price matching top of the major bookmakers after 10am!

They done this exact same thing last year too, BIG BUCKS was freely available from the Thurs before at 11/8 pushed out as a concession, as soon as lads matched them, they decided to keep that price up for longer until lads chopped it, that chopping if memory serves me correct did not happen until the Monday evening before the start but then of course morning of the race (Thurs) they were once again top at i think 5/4!

Although i think 6/4 is asking a lot and cant see it being as big as that though fully expect to see 5/4 Tues morning 8 - 10am!

Asked for £150 got £100. Think £100 seems to be the general limit unless they think you are an arber.
Report rubyrubyruby March 5, 2012 4:49 PM GMT
can anyone tell me where i can find a record of what claiming jockeys did this year please? ta
Report motor roller March 5, 2012 4:56 PM GMT
£660 total. £500 in one shop no prob next shop £100 max £60 phone.  Evens on here antepost, think once the markets go to day of race it will shorten a bit, I doubt if anyone will then go odds against on the day.
Report Fallen Angel March 5, 2012 5:00 PM GMT
I can see the arguments about the 5/4 being available before hand. I took advantage of the offer this morning, got £100 on-line. I am thinking of laying back my whole HF bet pre-Jan now on the basis I think he may well be bigger on the day. The price war may only just have begun.
Report willie the milk March 5, 2012 5:44 PM GMT
Asked for 200 got 100. But went into shop and put another ace onCool
