Would be ironic, he has thrice been beaten at odds of 3-1 or less at previous festivals

Personally i just dont see him as a winner here, he may finish 3rd or 4th but thats his level and i dont see where the improvement is, as he is, imo, fully exposed.

Not for me, albeit he is an honourable soldier.

Drat - I fancied Albertas Run.

Poquelin comes out top of my stats based analysis. Backed him last year however, and I'm in two minds whether he's better dominating handicappers off top weight rateher than mixing it with the best of the best off levels?
Report zilzal1 March 2, 2012 11:32 PM GMT
id say the former
Report JOCI Club March 2, 2012 11:34 PM GMT
So would I, I think.

Also backed him last year, this seasons is stronger race imo so no.

I've had a small £10 16/1 e/w NRNB simply due to price but main bet will be either Noble Prince or Great Endeavour
Report roobuck March 3, 2012 12:44 PM GMT
What preview was that BJG?
Report horse9 March 3, 2012 1:45 PM GMT
I was at a function with Andy Stewart in September and got talking to him, he was adamant Poquelin could still be a Gold Cup horse so clearly still very highly rated.
20s will be of interest given good ground and it's easy to forget the horse is still only 9 - he got demolished at Cheltenham on Trials day but was giving lumps of weight that day...

Poquelin a Gold Cup Horse??What has Andy been smoking that day?
Report buddeliea March 4, 2012 8:12 AM GMT
