I think he's highly likely to be left in at the 5 day stage - but then I always thought that was possible in case he falls at thee first/gets ridden out or something else freakish happens in the RSA.

If they are leaving him in for that reason then they will have to leave him overnight as well as the overnight stage will be before his RSA run...

I guess as Kauto is 50/50,then GC is also 50/50,so nowt changed really.the possibilty may have increased cos theres a doubt about KS,but till that doubt becomes a definite one way or the other,we know the same as we did yesterday.

At the Wincanton Preview tonight Pipe confirmed a decision wouldn't be made till at least the 5 day stage.... However follwowing his general comments tonight I think all present would be absolutely amazed if he didn't go for the Gold Cup.... He stated that no one knows what the situation will be in a years time i.e intimatig that you strike when the iron is hot.... but also informed us that Tom Scu who rode in the race at Newbury on The Giant B was convinced that Grand Crus would have won that race beating Long Run and co etc...

Tom Scu loves the horse and that's why he was in tears when Big Buck's beat him. That doesn't make him the most objective judge.

kauto might be 50/50 to run but he must be 90/10 against to win...how much work would he have missed for starters....it's inconceivable to think he now has fighting chance.

Duffy, I'm not so sure about that. They won't run him for a day out, so to me the 50/50 is about whether he'd be at his best or not.
