Just for you Desmond!
He has been left in the Kim Muir as a precaution, but at this stage the plan is the novice handicap with Denis riding. However, if Mr Claisse doesn't deliver the ground promised, I doubt he'll be going anywhere!

He'll have the taps on, no doubt. They're already having to defend themselves over the 'uncompetitive' look to Tuesday (other than Quevega there are no foregone conclusions to my eyes), so won't want the handicaps to cut up too much. There is no rain forcast next week either, so for safe ground on Thur/Fri he'll have to get some water into it ahead of Tuesday.
Thanks very much Buster, I'm greedy so have taken 20s and if he comes out, he comes out. I'll either see you on here to congratulate you, or we'll chat again in what..... 10 years time Mischief

If Hunt Ball were mine I'd much rather have him carrying a racing weight against more exposed types in the Byrne Group Plate rather than 12 stone against unexposed types in this.

Having already had a small bet on Educated Evans, I admit one has got under my radar so I'm going in again. I don't think the handicapper has got to this one yet. He's also entered in the Byrne and the Grand Annual, but is less likely to get a run in those.

0.5pt win Educated Evans @ 25/1
1pt win Niceonefrankie @ 16/1 nrnb

Have a look at 'Harpsy Chord' currently around 20/1.
Carrying 11-4
Form over chases is good 3-2-1
Very capable trainer (jim Dreaper) who had a winner last year with What a Charm
Will probaly have Andrew Lynch riding
Sire, Accordian, has good record over middle distances and on good ground around Cheltenham
Owned by Alan Potts and bought for £110,000 STG in 2010

What A Charm was trained by the handicap king Arthur Moore.. think you have to go back a very long time to find Jim Dreaper's last winner at the festival (Ten Up?)

I stand corrected and it was Ten Up in 1975, so he is long over due a win! Still reckon he's worth a few quid each way.
