Looked totally unsuited by the track when he ran at Cheltenham.
I expect them to keep him for Aintree.

He was fancied last week, and I expect him to gain compensation in the Supreme.
There are plenty of short priced horses at the festival this year, use this one to bulk up your yankee.

Will it run at Chelt - id be thinkin Aintree too??

I could not have a penny on him until I saw him bouncing fit and well in the parade ring after that horrible fall.

The best horse in the race imo will run at Chelt.

Might well but could have lost confidence from the fall or might just be battered and bruised. It was a nasty one. Some brush it off, some take a while longer.

Not watched again recently, but jumped well and travelled possibly had the choke out and should have been sent on earlier like AP was gonna do at Newbury (he does not do this enough)

1. The horse is fine.

2. The horse was about to put the Champion Hurdle 2nd fav away by a distance.

3. He dosses in front and could do with cheekpieces.

4. Will take all the skill to get him home in front.

5. Has the most ability of all running in the Supreme.

Make of all that what you will. Should be no bigger than 6/1 on the day.

Me, Noah, Nelly & you too? I have the wife, kids, grandson, mortgage, house, business, pension & savings on @ average 17's. Only things that worry me are the fall, the hill, the competition, the hurdles & the ground so yep as long as he turns up all should be fine.

Must admit i was tempted to back him when he was 13.5 on the basis of his last run where he APPEARED to be cruising,but having viewed it many times again i actually think Sailors Warn was travelling better,and he only finished 6th.
And to be honest for all his ability something doesnt look quite right about his previous runs,that narrow cheltenham win is bugging me,it simply isnt good enough to win a supreme.
Was it the Cheltenham hill that made him look quite ordinary,after all his 3 other wins were on sharp and galloping tracks(horses for courses),and his fall came at Newbury(galloping).
I do know hes not the greatest jumper in the world,and this found him out at Newbury(before commenting view his vids),given the likely size of the field and pace they will be travelling im not to miffed i didnt take that 13.5.
To be honest the fact hes still be layed at 7.2 when it looked a possibility he MIGHT beat a 160 rated horse only getting 5lb,kind of tells us the layers are thinking the same way,if the hurdles dont get him the hill will.
The generous looking market stinks a bit to me and is suggesting theres a big priced one that will pop up and beat them all

Yes I think you just summarised all my doubts 247, I have nibbles on Tetlami, Dylan Ross & Cash & Go so don't mind too much if one of them 'pops up'. Particularly Dylan Ross I like the way this horse has run on at the end of his races and have him at avge 55-1 so no complaints if he has a big run. Despite everything though I still think Darlan could be the real deal if he gets his jumping act together.

Well the supremes not the place to be going if you need to brush up your jumping,lol.
I have noted a few people mentioning Dylan Ross,he has won quite well the last 2 occasions hes encountered GOOD going,and those other efforts were on soft/heavy,so hes interesting from from that point of view,wether hes good enough is another matter.
Lets face it.they may be getting a bit of rain today but the track dries out very quickly,so it will have no baring on the state of the going come festival time,and the clerks already admitted hes struggling to achieve the good to soft he always tries to get for the opening day.
Its looking highly likely its going to strongly favour top of the ground types.

backed steps to freedom myself,fairly confident all year, after seeing darlan at newbury i'm starting to question it. travelled like a dream, nobody could say who would have won the race but darlan would have been in the shake up at least!!great chance in the supreme

Yes no questioning he has a high level of ability,but reiterate,jumping and track may be his undoing.

Have Darlan at 20s so happy and think he was running a massive race race off 146 in the context of the Supreme

Would I back him single figures after his fall - No.
