As an o.a.p. and one who remembers the great days of ARKLE, FLYINGBOLT, and other Tom Dreaper greats  part of the enjoyment of the festival is the cross chat  weeks before and leading up the big days themselfs,[a bit like a child waiting for christmas]. We can give our Opinions in many different ways today [right or wrong [Confusedbut i can honestly say the best advice i can give is wait till the bookies give non/runner no bet a week or so before cheltenham, there may be the odd  exception but the bookies are a cagey lot and the value is often overhyped. goodluck

A good bit of advice from an old hand for all you headless chickens ploughing in AP. I know it comes off at times but the odds are stacked in bookies favour. Anyway old man whats your nap. For what its worth i cant see Scotsirish being beaten as hes head and shoulders above the rest

bookies like us taking shorter prices as well(nrnb)

personally i like getting in early and taking the big prices, more than compensates for non runners with the prices i have for the ones that do run.

Each to their own though

I'm with you Budd.  It all adds to the excitement and anticipation of thinking you might have one over the bookies.
